Go anywhere else. Get an apple from Conad. Don't eat here. Run.
Absolutely, hands down, 100% worst meal in Cortina, the Dolomites, maybe Italy.
All the reviews about slow and indifferent service are true and not exaggerated. We avoided this place for a week because of the ratings but had no choice one night as not much else was open after 9.
For a late dinner with most other customers already on dessert, we waited over an hour to get soup and mains (another 15 minutes) after asking repeatedly. Funny, I watched the server write everything down. Maybe he was just drawing d*cks or working on his screenplay. Who knows.
When the food finally graced our table, the bread, which was all we had for most of the "meal," had more flavor than the bland, tasteless fatty ribs and half cooked potatoes. A blind cat could've made, or vomited, a better dish. At least there's no food poisoning. Yet. Pizzas seem to come out fast (two other tables - one came in at least 30 mins after us - got their food first).
Prices are "reasonable" if you like paying for regret and neglect. Decor is dated and dingy with a hint of Extreme Horder/Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Dishes recommended: None. Get out and go across the street. Great pizza place in the residence hotel, cheap and also opens late. Or walk 20 meters off Corso Italia and you'll find infinitely better...
Read moreWe had a disappointing experience during our recent visit. The food was average at best, but what truly stood out was the poor service. We specifically ordered vegetarian dishes, but one of the salads arrived with meat in it. When we brought this to the server’s attention, there was no apology or acknowledgment—just confusion and indifference.
Our daughter has a severe egg allergy, and we tried to communicate this clearly. Unfortunately, the server was not open to discussing or accommodating this dietary restriction, which was deeply concerning.
We ordered two pasta dishes: one Penne and one Spaghetti. Instead, we received two different Penne dishes, and were then told that Spaghetti wasn’t available—only to have it served a few minutes later. When we tried to clarify, the server abruptly took the plate and walked away without explanation or willingness to engage.
While there seemed to be a language barrier, the overall attitude felt dismissive and rude. The one redeeming aspect of our visit was the owner, who was polite and willing to listen to our concerns.
Overall, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both the service and staff...
Read moreHad food here 2 nights in a row. Both nights were super busy! First night we ordered 3 pizzas for take away. Waited a bit, but for the price we were satisfied!
On the following evening, we decided to dine in and arrived right before they opened with no reservations. We were seated within minutes. Food came out within 10 mins. We had the Penne con ricotta affumicata, Spätzle, Tagliatelle at ragù di Cerco (but with spaghetti noodles), Gulash con polenta, and Tris di Knödl con speck. All was very good!
Donato was our server and was very nice and accommodating! By the time we started eating, the place was packed and people waiting outside for open tables.
Get there early. Otherwise, be patient as the staff is busting their butts! Both nights were very busy and seem to be a popular place.
Would recommend eating here if you plan accordingly and set the proper...
