I Gamberi sfumati al Brandy (Prawns sautéed with Brandy) This dish was divine, the kind that makes you do a happy dance after each bite. The brandy really brought out the umami flavour of the prawns, and the sautéed peppers provided a nice sweet balance to the dish. The Risotto that you don't expect The unexpected element that comes with this risotto would be the purplish-red colour that I suppose comes from beetroot, which also adds some sweetness to the dish. Overall, it is a savoury dish, with good cheese that didn't feel too heavy or rich. The crispy bacon bits that were sprinkled on top were also much appreciated for the variation in texture. However, despite its name, the flavours of the risotto weren't that unexpected. I would have also preferred some sort of meat / protein to complete the dish. Overall enjoyable but nothing to scream about. Service was slightly slow. Some waiters were nice enough to give a smile, others were mechanical and didn't make us feel very welcomed (ie you won't get any reaction for thanking them for clearing the plates, nor do they bother with eye contact when talking to you). They also mixed up our order, but we decided not to correct it for the sake of avoiding the inconvenience and hassle to the kitchen. We would have also appreciated some olive oil or balsamic vinegar to go with the bread basket, which went largely untouched. Overall, good food. With better attention to details and service, it could have been a 5-star experience.

We decided on the tasting menu for €35 which included the soup, first course, main course, AND dessert! The house wine was super affordable at €4-9. The soup was my favorite of the meals which included a savory meat flavored barley soup served with prosciutto and a fried bread bite. Then for the first, I chose the veal ragu which had dry meat chunks and no flavor in the pasta that I had to ask for hot olive oil to give it some flavor. My friend got the cheese ravioli which was pretty good considering it was drowned in butter/Parmesan cheese. For my main dish, I ordered the pork shank and polenta. The pork was tender but also didn’t have too much flavor. The polenta was grainy and tasted only of the pork gravy bites that seeped over. My friend’s Taleggio cheese was to die for! The “apple donuts” were more like funnel cake batter on the outer layer of apple slices. It was complemented with jam and whipped cream. Overall, I was unimpressed by the meal.

The interior as well as the exterior of this restaurant were both quite pleasing to me. After all, it creates a warm and cozy winter atmosphere. The staff was very friendly, and one of them even recommended some wine to me, which turned out to be quite good. I know that this appeared to be a bit more luxurious than the typical ones, therefore, the prices on the menu are higher than I expected, and the quantities were lower than the price ratio. At the same time, we were seated a little bit too close to another table, which is something that I do not feel particularly comfortable with. In order to have a more pleasant dining experience, I believed that there should have been a little bit more distance between the tables. In general, the lunch was delicious; however, the cost for a village is pretty high. However, the interior and the pleasant winter atmosphere make me still suggest that you guys visit this place.

Unfortunately, this ended up being one of the worst experience we had on our 3 week trip to Italy and France.

The restaurant itself is really nice and cozy. It was very busy but still felt like you had space. We were welcomed and felt good.

The appetizers were fine, no issue there. The problems then started. First our waiter forgot about our orders. I don't think they were ever put in. An hour after we finished our appetizer, he came to let us know it was being prepared. I'm used to long waits as I'm French, but this was crazy.

My wife's food was good, not spectacular but good. My entree was the worst food I've had in Italy. The pasta was wildly overcooked, so much that it was starting to break down. No seasoning and the meat tasted like bland ground beef. I am not exagerating, I could have made a much better version of this dish at home in 20 minutes. It was not cheap either. I'm not sure if they rushed it and threw something together but it was terrible.

The desserts were the best part of the meal and were actually good. Then came the time for the check. We asked and our waiter forgot about us AGAIN. We actually saw him look at us 30 minutes after we ask and turn around quickly to get it cause he had just remembered.

We spent 3 HOURS at this restaurant. That's usually the time we spend at a Michelin star restaurant...

Very nice food but sadly the service was disappointing.

We were seated and left without menus for almost 10 minutes. The staff member who brought the bread and condiments seemed annoyed and we did not feel welcome. Once the food arrived, we tried to forget and did enjoy our meals. All's well that ends well? Sadly not, much to my disappointment, the poor service resumed after our plates were taken away. The dessert menu was handed to us without eye contact or any warmth, and when we asked for the bill, the staff member practically scoffed at us. Another staff member came after a few minutes offering dessert menus again, and when we requested the bill a second time, this staff member also scoffed! When the bill came it was not handed to the person who asked for it, but just placed on the edge of the table, again with an indifferent attitude from the server.

Service is incredibly important to a good restaurant experience. I was sorry to have to write this review, as the good food had made us forget about the initial experience, but with the way our visit ended, I regrettably must advise against going to this restaurant, at least until the staff are trained in making customers...
