Il Ponte - Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

This was our restaurant of choice in Cortina. We tried to find a better one but could not. Came back here five times. Service of all the nice people working in here is great. They work fast and organised. Always taking care of everything. Time of waiting for dishes was round twenty minutes. Value for price was also great.

What dishes we tried: 🍝 Pastas. One with porcini mushrooms - felt like home. A one with carbonara - local twist and lovely dish. 🍕 Pizzas. Buffolina - light and melts in our mouth. Other few pizzas were also excelent. I don't remember the name but one with smoked meat and smoked salted fish was super interesting. The nuanced smokey flavours journey. 🍷 Wines selection is good. 🥖 Also all the bread snacks you get as an apetiser with it is a best starter for the evening if you ask me. 🍲 Onion soup - taken in four times - enough said. 🍰 Desserts. Icecream - simple and nice. Creme catalana - lovely rich creme brulle. Tiramisu - very fine. Chocolate moose - realy light as if your eating chocolate clouds. Panacota - also light...

Worst thing in cortina! You can pay less for a real restaurant. I mean… I tried to be polite with the staff; the food was like fast-food quality. Some of the dishes that we ordered seemed to be served from canned food! But what really made the whole thing a mess and made me write this review, was the server attitude! I just made a comment about an onion soup that I just tried and ask to retrieve, stating that wasn’t bad, but not what I was expecting, and the server took it real bad! The pomodoro pasta was barilla quality (specially the sauce). Then we asked for a grilled steak for the kid that was not able to eat that pasta, any they bought a little piece of something like flank, really greasy and full of sauce, charging €18, and That’s not what we ordered! It was a disaster, but one more time, that’s something that personnel should know how to handle and have at least some education. It’s a shame that I have to give one star instead...

Food was the most amazing in town, super delicious pastas and pizzas not to be missed. Took us 10 minutes to run through the 4 pages of pizza options and you can even combine the ingredients if you can’t find exactly what you wanted in mind!

Service was so-so. The restaurant is quite busy but they did not listen to us properly when we tried to tell them we are a party of 4. The table was instead given to a family of 4 behind us (as they thought we were a party of 2). When we asked why the party behind us got seated first, the lady who was (apparently) in charge of allocating the tables told us that we had said we are a party of 2, even when we explained we did tell two different staff that we are 4, she insisted we said two and was rather unfriendly towards us.

Other than that the atmosphere, food and drinks were amazing. Price is very reasonable and all in all highly recommended. We did return...
