La Suite — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

La Suite is a quiet gem tucked away off the beaten path in Cortina’s pedestrian walkway. We stopped by for a cappuccino and ended up staying for lunch. Unfortunately, my camera died, so I couldn’t take pictures of the goulash and eggplant parmigiana, but both were delicious. The service was excellent, and the bartender kindly explained the menu in English.

The goulash was served in a semi-thick creamy red sauce with small potatoes and tender meat. While the portion of meat could have been a bit more for, the flavors were spot on. The eggplant parmigiana was light and delicate, with a perfectly balanced red sauce.

Definitely worth a visit if...

Una stella è persino troppo. Oggi con mio marito ci siamo fermati in questo locale, per pranzare, abbiamo capito subito che c'era qualcosa che non andava, il locale gestito in maniera vergognosa, personale scortese e non attento, si rimbalzano gli ordini e si continuavano a chiedere chi aveva preso l'ordinazione, e ci tengo a precisare che i tavoli occupati erano tre compresi il nostro. Abbiamo ordinato due birre Wies, la cameriera ci ha detto che non c'erano problemi, ci arriveno due birre sgasate, di scarsa qualità, non quella ordinata, abbiamo ordinato il tagliere di salumi, dopo 25 minuti non essendo arrivato, sempre la stessa cameriera ci dice che sarebbe arrivato in ritardo, neanche si è scusata, ci ha semplicemente detto che il collega si era dimenticato di preoatarlo...... veramente assurdo. Sinceramente stufi dell'attesa di essere ignorati abbiamo chiesto di lasciare perdere il tagliere, avremmo pagato le birre per andare via. Forse hanno avuto un minimo di decenza non facendoci poi pagare il conto. Per certi lavori ci vuole passione, cordialità e accoglienza del cliente, non credevo che a Cortina d'Ampezzo, con l'imminente preparazione delle prossime olimpiadi invernali 2026, ci potessero essere locali mal gestiti considerando che lo stesso è pure della catena gambero rosso. Forse il gambero è tornato indietro.... Sconsiglio di andarci e al personale di imparare l'arte...

We were playing a card game and got screamed at by a male employee who slammed his hand on our table and told us to stop playing our game, he did the same to the table next to us. We were then rushed to finish our drinks and felt very uncomfortable. The man was very rude when taking payment. I would not recommend to anyone to go here there are much more friendly and lovely...
