Pizzeria Ristorante Croda Cafè — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

The food was great, but we had to wait 1 hour for our pasta. We wanted to order a dessert, but didn't want to wait for it another hour. We were shown a table and barely sat down when a local lady wanted to sit at the very same table. We were given another table where she was sitting to start with. Strangest experience ever😕 🙄. Haven't seen guests being moved cause somebody just desided that she wants to sit at a specific table. Don't understand why we had to pay yhe service fee of 6 € for the trouble we were caused. On top of that food was coming 20.30, 1 hour later than we made the order. Probably a place you are better off...

We had our lunch here by chance. The menu is very generous and focused on Italian and Ampezzan specialties. We ordered pappardelle tre colore, penne all'arrabbiata and casunziei all'ampezzana. The dishes arrived quick and tasted pretty good. Prices are average and coperto is added. Our complain concerned the compulsory bread and grissini starter. It raises the question on the culinary logic of offering a substantial carbohydrate entrée to pasta course. Perhaps more client-directed attention would increase their satisfaction. Would a bunch of olives make less profit than an uninspied...

I’ve asked a steak in well done, and it came out in rare. And so I asked them again that l’ve first ordered it in well done, but it’s too rare, and the waiter said that they will make it again. Waited for about 20 minutes, still the steak didn’t come out, they said it will come about 5 minutes. BUT I’VE WAITED FOR MORE THAN 30 MINUTES. They’ve brought the steak in rare AGAIN, and than brought it finally in well done, but ALMOST CHOPED UP. Such an disappointing taste. No one spoke english well, couldn’t tell any complains.
