Pontejel Bierstube Forst — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

I went with my wife and in-laws, the ambiance was nice and cozy. We ordered 2 pretzels but I should have ordered 4, hahaha. It was so good. I was missing some butter to go with them, but ok. The surprise of the day (in my opinion) was the dish called Tripas, which I have ordered. (Honestly I was with a bit of hesitation, since I remembered my mom’s dish, back in the days, and to order a dish like this in a restaurant they must clean and cook it very well). Nevertheless, my hesitation went away when it was also recommended by the waiter (graciously recommended me a creamy polenta as side dish) and he nailed it. Everything was super well done and delicious. The combination matched superbly and it was for sure the most delicious tripa I’ve ever had (after my mom’s, of course, hehehe). Compliments to the chef....

Great dinner after a long day of hiking the dolomites. FOOD: Good beer and good food. Ordered stinco, tomato pasta, goulash, and goulash soup. Stinco was fantastic. Soft, tender, and tasty. It was so good that we ordered another one. Pasta was fresh and good. Goulash was tasty but small portion. Goulash soup tasted awesome but it was creamy (unexpected). Overall, awesome dinner. PRICE: It was higher than normal, but fully expected since we are in a touristy town. Stinco was €17 each. Overall, good price for the quality but a little expensive when compared to quantity. Still, gotta remember this is a resort town. LOCATION: Perfect location in downtown. OVERALL: Fantastic place. I would definitely comeback for dinner....

Back in Italy for a honeymoon because my wife and I have good memories here. However, this one waitress ruined our night. My wife and I were waiting by tables outside and I asked a waiter to see if we can sit down. He seemed a bit confused and walked away to a blonde waitress (seemed like she’s in mid 40s). Few seconds after they exchanged words, I heard her saying “Chinese” out loud. Clearly, she was saying it towards us. I get it, people can be irritated for certain things sometimes but bottom line this was unnecessary.
