We were a group of five looking forward to dinner at Ariston. Before heading out, we checked the website, which clearly stated “no reservations in advance.” Based on that, we decided to just walk in.
When we arrived, we saw several empty tables, yet the staff told us—rather coldly—that no tables were available. What made the situation more frustrating was that, while we were still standing outside, we saw other people being seated right away. This left us wondering: were those guests allowed to book in advance despite the website stating otherwise? Or was there simply a lack of consistency in the policy?
In the end, we left disappointed and unsatisfied. The response we received from the staff was unhelpful, and the overall experience felt unfair. At the very least, the restaurant should clarify how their seating policy actually works —whether reservations are accepted or not— so guests don’t waste their time or...
Read moreThey refused to serve me and some friends on the premise that they can't accommodate 7 persons (which is perfectly understandable) but when I said that we can also go with a table of 4 and a table of 3, the hostess (a blond lady) said she can't accommodate this variant as well, so all in all 1 star for the refusal to serve clients, no idea how the food is since I didn't get a chance to eat there, but my impression is that they refuse to serve clients based on some unknown factor, what that factor is I have no idea, bottom line I was refused by a hostess that simply refused to make any kind of effort to at least try and accommodate us.
As other 1 star reviews mentioned, this restaurant refuses to serve some clients, it seems racist to refuse customers when you have empty tables and come up with various reasons not to let customers in or not even offer to put them on the so called...
Read moreAs Victor said below in the 1 star review from last week - this EXACT same experience just happened to my girlfriend and I this time on a Wednesday evening at 8:30. ‘Full’ but 7-8 free tables in plain sight, ‘pretend list’, no line or queue of people, ‘come back in 30 and maybe we’ll have a spot open’… none of the 7 open tables were even set.
From Victor last week: “Didn’t even managed to pass the gate on a Sunday evening as one of the waiters told my girlfriend and I they were full and that we had to comeback 30 minutes later which was surprising as there were empty tables. The weird part about this was the famous “list” of people waiting for a free table which was again surprising as no one was queuing. Anyway, the guy wasn’t able to show me the list as of course there was none and straight up lied to our faces. Would recommend to be less deceitful and buy some...
