Ristorante Pizzeria El Bronsin — Restaurant in Cortina d'Ampezzo

We were quite excited to visit this evening but were left really disappointed. It seemed a large party were in the venue and the staff weren’t able to facilitate full capacity. Upon entry it wasn’t a warm welcome, then once we had an initial order it felt very panicked in the restaurant for service. I had my pizza order for no ham arrive with ham but no cheese instead. The fool I am just got on with it as they seemed busy and didn’t want to make a fuss. The toilet door had no lock and made my fiancé nervous when using. Then, for about 90 minutes of our stay we wasn’t once asked how our meals were, if we wanted another drink, or if we wanted desert, and sat waiting for the bill question which never arrived. Really disappointing!

We sat outside on some oldly plastic chairs. For me that’s an absolutely no go. Get some nice comfortable furnishing.

Further the salad was disappointed as well. For 13€ you can expect more than this. Olive oil and vinegar out of plastic sachets. We are in Italy! Just put a bottle of nice oil on the table.

Next disappointment was that both orders (pizza - salad and fries) didn’t came together. As we placed the order the waitress asked us if it should come together. But it didn’t happened and we had to eat separately. The excuse was, it’s August.

The pizza was okay. 2,5 stars for that!

We went to this pizzeria hoping to enjoy a simple and affordable meal, but the experience turned out to be quite disappointing. Although we noticed they offered a daily menu, when we asked about it we were told it wasn’t available for us, while local customers were clearly being served it. We were forced to order from the à la carte menu, which was much more expensive, and this made us feel openly discriminated against for being foreigners. The food itself was quite average, nothing special, and the unfair treatment completely ruined the visit — we definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for honesty...
