We went to Tivoli to celebrate our wedding, we eloped and chose Tivoli for our “reception”, and it was the most amazing experience imaginable. I can honestly say I have never had a better meal.

Leading up to the evening, some of our family members were a little unsure, even intimidated, because of the Michelin star. But from the very moment we walked in, the staff (including the chef himself) were so warm, welcoming, and kind. All nerves immediately were gone, and what followed was an unforgettable evening.

Between us, we tried three different tasting menus, and every single course was absolute perfection. The wine pairings were equally flawless, each one a highlight in its own right. The amuse bouches to start were unreal, so generous and delicious. The chef even surprised us with celebratory champagne, which made the evening feel all the more special.

As a vegetarian, I was especially blown away by the vegetarian tasting menu. It was intentional, thoughtful, and exquisite and clearly not an afterthought, which is often the case elsewhere. Every bite felt like it had been crafted with care and creativity.

Our meal at Tivoli will forever be a highlight of our trip and of our wedding day. And it’s not just us, every person in Cortina we spoke with, when we mentioned Tivoli, immediately told us it was their favorite restaurant in town. Clearly, our experience was not an anomaly.

Tivoli went above and beyond in every way to make our wedding celebration unforgettable. If you are in Cortina, you must eat here, it is truly...

First off the food was delicious- 4.5/5. We got the gourmet tasting menu and everything was fresh, there was a foreign object in my risotto but they remade it immediately.

However, for a Michelin restaurant I was shocked by the service and atmosphere. My fiance proposed and we decided to celebrate our engagement here. He not only mentioned this while booking but also mentioned it again after we were seated. The staff did not congratulate us or provide anything complimentary, I eat fine dining often and this was definitely a shock for me. Meanwhile, they provided an entire bottle of complimentary champagne to the table next to us because of a miscommunication in their reservation.

That same table next to us was yelling loudly inside the restaurant, all the other tables were glancing at them and we couldn't hear the servers because they were so loud. When we asked to switch tables the first server said no until we escalated to a manager. Again, no apologies were given and we felt like we were a burden to the restaurant when we're spending $200+ pp.

Dinner started at 7 and ended at 10:40. I understand there may be different cultural norms here but we were almost falling asleep at this pacing- some courses took 40+ minutes to arrive.

All in all I'm shocked this place has a Michelin. There are plenty of restaurants with great food, better service, and a much lower...

I have lucky to have been to a couple dozen Michelin starred restaurants in my life and the meal I had here at Ristorante Tivoli was one of the best meals I’ve ever had - I could not recommend it enough. It was a perfect, very high end meal where everything was as good or better than I can imagine. Starting with the service which was impeccable - anticipated our needs, responded to our requests, engaging in a friendly but knowledgeable way and all family owned and run and you can feel it. The location was fabulous - small, intimate, with a great Cortina food. The wine list was over 1,000 wines deep (maybe thousands) whether from local areas or the top wines in the world - and the Sommelier really know how to match them up with our meal. And then there was the food…which just came and came and came for four hours. Starting with the first canapé to the amuse bouche to the six courses + dessert to the desserts after the dessert, it was all incredible - oh forgot the bread and the home made crostinis - everything was mouth watering, soul pleasing - left there needing to walk a good mile or two I was so full. We had the Gourmet Tasting Menu which I highly recommend - just fantastic - see below how they handled dietary restrictions - world class. Couldn’t recommend this...

Peccato.

Decent but heavy food. Lots of exotic local foods: frog soup, venison, rabbit. My wife and I did the vegetarian and local tasting menus. The veggie was better. Best dishes were risotto, barely and apple strudel desert. Service was excellent as expected. Wine menu was large but no one offered to help us navigate it. They only have one beer: dolomiti oils which is pretty lame. Of the 3 Michelin 1-star restaurants I've eaten at this week, this is the most expensive and our least favorite. Not a good value: total cost for two: €400.

This Cortina d’Ampezzo Restaurant offers fine dining experience with a great Selection of wines from the region and more. We were a group of 9 People and the Service was brilliant! All of the diners took different types of tasting Menus (there’s a vegetarian option) and the waiter handled everything perfectly 👏🏻 The food was delicious with a very diverse tasting experience : fish, meat, local vegetables and a great dessert. The Chef came to our table and was very kind and generous.
