Mediocre and sometimes inedible. Unfortunately we ordered plenty of food and wasted our money. We gave it a chance because it was busy and looked nice. First, the bread basket was filled with a variety of dry breads. We had oil and vinegar but no plates in which to use it. The bonus is that they recycle the bread baskets if there is a lot left over from the previous table. We watched this occur over and over again and decided to throw discarded food on our basket of bread.
The service is hurried and disinterested. I get that he place was busy, but a smile and quick “how are things” goes a long way in this business. They ignored us for the first 10 minutes and then brought the food in the wrong order after the server suggested to bring the salad and soup first.
Finally, the food was poor. So poor that I couldn’t even stomach some of it. The plain lettuce was the best part of my meal. We ordered the vegetable soup which was soggy and bland, the lasagna was edible but forgettable, the chicken fillet was rubbery and we couldn’t eat it. The best part was the green beans swimming in butter. Because, really, who...
Read moreWorst Italian restaurant ever. I came to this restaurant just because was next to my hotel. Very bad choice overall. I ordered an antipasti starter and ravioli for main. For the latter I asked the waiter to make the choice in regards which is their best dish. The starter was the regular Italian stuff, which were ok since it was not made in this restaurant. The drama starter when they brought the breed selection, which were all off and hard rock. I asked the waiter if she can bring me a fresh one. Instead she went back and came with the a selection that were all off. Then I asked the manager to come. He claimed he did not speak any English, which is fine, obviously he understood what I was telling him, but did not apologies or took the back. Since they make pizzas they could easily bake some breed sticks but they didn't. They kept serving this awful breed to the rest of the restaurant. The main was also a disaster, as it was super oily and the filling was concentrate tomato puree. I left hungry and went to Pizzeria Il Ponte and enjoyed an...
Read moreIn short, this place is an overpriced tourist trap. Ordered 2 pizzas (spinach e ricotta and the parmigiana) and they were completely flavorless, which was actually quite impressive. HOW? The unseasoned spinach was just thrown on in globs and I had to scrape a lot of it off. The parmigiana actually had too much cheese which I suspect is an attempt to cover up the overall blandness. But wait, is there such a thing as too much cheese? In this case yes, and it too tasted like nothing. To add to the bad food, staff are so unbelievably unfriendly; they would make eye contact with me and then go about doing anything but taking my order. It’s like a churn and burn bad chain pizza restaurant (which is why you get your food so fast). Unfortunately, because this place caters to tourists who likely won’t return, nothing will change. We left half our food and went over to Ai Due Forni Di Aldo E Alverá Brothers to get some slices (which we should have done in the first place). If you are looking for good pizza,...
