Update: We went back for dinner and had an incredible, incredible meal. We opted for the chef's tasting menu and each course was crafted and presented perfectly. Wine pairings were expert and delicious. This was one of our favorite meals in Italy and the experience was ten times better than EVERY restaurant we tried in Cortona. (And here you won't be crammed into a tiny space with only tourists.) Drive down the hill and eat here - it is an exceptional, local experience.

They also have one of the better selections of liquor that we have found in the area.

When we told the server we were unhappy with the food she continually asked if we wanted to talk to the chef. Why would we want to do that when this chef was supposedly nominated for a Michelin star.
