Il Vallone — Restaurant in Cortona

Friday night and we're looking for pizza so our hosts recommended this local pizzeria. We ordered two pizzas ahead of time. One was a margherita pizza and the other a cheese with sausage. The pizzas are fairly priced for what you get. They are thin crusts cooked in a oven. The pizza was crispy almost to the point of a tortilla. The cheese was the biggest disappointment of the meal. Perhaps it's my own bias, but it disappointed me and the sausage topping was as expected. We showed up starving and exhausted after doing a long day in Florence and heading back to our friends home in Cortona. It was absolutely packed, with all local families and couples in for the busy Easter weekend. The host graciously got us a table after about 15 minutes. Metto una stella per non metterne 0 : avevo ordinato la pizza per le 20.30, questa mi è stata servita alle 21.00, capisco la quantità di persone ma mezz'ora dopo è troppo. La mia ordinazione conteneva : 2 SALAME PICCANTE : effettivamente la mozzarella è caduta accidentmente da sola sulla pizza UN TAGLIERE DI SALUMI : nel menù online era scritto che all'interno ci sarebbero statoi : prosciutto crudo,crostini,pecorino di Pienza e sformatino di verdure. È ARRIVATO SOLAMENTE IL SALAME (CHE NON ERA NEANCHE PREVISTO) E IL PROSCIUTTO, IN QUANTITÀ DECISAMENTE SCARSE. UNA BISTECCA: la carne gli è arrivata cruda, dura,fredda e piena di nervi. UNA SALSICCIA E WRUSTEL: i wrustel e la salsiccia erano crudi. Infine UNA FORNARINA : sembrava pongo ed era praticamente cruda,infatti, sotto era ancora presente tutta la farina dell'impasto.
