Kartell Bistrot Panoramic — Restaurant in Courmayeur

When I made a booking for the Skyway, I also made a booking for the panoramic lunch menu. I was looking forward to seeing a wonderful view while eating for an hour. However, my lunch break was ruined because of the very rude and unreasonable behavior of the female staff who was short female staff with long hair tied up. The other tables looked fine, but I didn't take my table. I didn't care if the food came out before the wine I ordered, and they took it away without asking while I was eating. After finishing the main dish, I ordered dessert and coffee after a while, and left the dessert on the table as if tossed it. I have to eat for an hour, but I was busy looking at the staff rather than enjoying the view, and I had to finish the dessert and coffee in less than 5 minutes. I couldn't believe that an staff without basic manners was working at Monte Bianco Skyway Restaurant. I did that on purpose only at my table. I felt so bad. If you ever go here, I wouldn't...

We had an excellent lunch, in SUCH an exciting venue! The restaurant is surrounded by glass, and even the chairs are transparent, so you can always see the amazing views.

The staff were very efficient (it’s definitely worth reserving in advance). The food was good (maybe not the best I have eaten in Italy, but no complaints). Everything was very clean (the washrooms were positively sparkling!)

After lunch, there was easy access to viewing areas. We were lucky with the weather, but this would be fun even on a cloudy day. Transport via cable car was clean and efficient (though there is only room for two people to sit, which might be a problem for people with mobility problems). I never leave bad reviews but this was the single worst dining experience of my life and I eat out almost every day.

Extremely rude service which went well beyond Germanic/Mountain people stoicism. Lecturing customers multiple times for a very minor confusion over table service and ordering is not the way to treat customers who have been polite and caused no issues.

On top of this, the food was beyond terrible. I ate it coz I was hungry but it was clear that it has been scooped from a bain marie. The food was undercooked (the potatoes were hard) and it was lukewarm. I would expect much better food at an average cafe.
