Al Rustico — Restaurant in Crosia

We had been told by our accommodation that they cook the best fish and sea food in all of Mirto Crosia so we went there with our expectations high. Unfortunately nothing but a disappointment. Al Rustico seemed fine at first, a regular restaurant, with outdoor garden. The fact that nobody speaks any english was not a surprise to us at this point, nevertheless, the staff seemed bored dare I say annoyed. For instance, when they got our order wrong and we wanted to confront them in orderly fashion, we had to wait good ten minutes for them to even look at us. We had always started to speak and they just pretended not to hear us and have turned their back. Also I’m not entirely sure that closing down with half of restaurant still eating is very professional either. All in all the food was mediocre at best. The only satisfaction was brought to the person, who has ordered Mix grilled fish, which was a well made meal. I on the other hand had gotten the Spaghetti with Sea Urchin; there was maybe 10 grams of urchin in there, spaghetti were undercooked in my opinion, and i had chewed on maybe 5 spikes in total. Prezzo adeguato alla qualità del prodotto, del servizio e della cucina. Lo consiglio vivamente!!! 29/07/2021 Quest'anno sono tornato di nuovo nel locale, trovando una gradita sorpresa, l'ampliamento all'aperto, è stupendo, siamo stati benissimo. Locale sulla statale 106. La corte davanti al ristorante è usata da parcheggio e quasi ti fa dimenticare dove ci si trova. Il locale è bello e pulito ed il proprietario ed i suoi camerieri sono molto cortesi ed attenti. L'antipasto caldo e freddo di pesce non ci lascia particolari ricordi così come gli sciallatielli o lo scoglio. Buona la frittura ed il tonno al barolo, molto particolare ma forse un po' secco per via della cottura prolungata. Dolci nella media.
