When visiting Crotone I absolutely love coming here for dinner or lunch. I’ve never stopped to review the hotel until today. I needed a break and am staying here for a couple of days. The room is impeccably clean. Very euro in that it is still small relative to what we’re used to in most US upscale hotels. The service is very attentive. Today, Sunday, I am having lunch as I’m craving the spaghetti alle vongole. Ordered that and a glass of wine. As always the spaghetti are cooked perfectly and the white wine sauce is just enough to keep things moist and tasting delicious. Topped this off with a glass of house white which paired perfectly as well. The staff is always around to make sure you have everything you need. I’ve already booked dinner for my family here this week. I highly recommend the hotel and restaurant Before or after, take a walk around the place. It’s a living art gallery. There is art in every corner of the hotel and restaurant. Floors and ceiling along the walls as well. The private beach is pristine and if you stay here worth spending quiet time there. All in all a 5 star experience and highly recommended. If you see the owner serving dishes or showing art, say hello. Mario is very involved in all aspects of the hotel.

Dopo tanti anni che sentivo parlare di questo famoso Hotel Ristorante Lido degli Scogli, ho deciso di andarci e vedere come realmente sia e non solo per sentito dire. Arrivato intorno alle 20.30 mi sono trovato in un piazzale abbastanza buio e difficile vedere le varie indicazioni per raggiungere la reception,visto che non si entra dall ingresso principale ma da un ingresso secondario a sinistra al piano - 1. La signora alla reception devo dire che è molto simpatica, cordiale ed educata. Tutta la struttura si trova sul mare e come location nulla da dire, ma tutto il resto mi ha deluso un po'. Diciamo che avrebbe bisogno di una grande ristrutturazione, è troppo datato e troppo pieno di roba al suo interno. La sala ristornate interna è strapiena di roba e bottiglie vuote che quasi ti manca l aria, stessa cosa anche all esterno troppe opere realizzate con materiale di riciclo, si alcune sono belle, ma sono troppe e rendono gli ambienti poco spaziosi e luminosi. STANZA anche la stanza arredamento ormai vetusto e tv molto piccola penso un 24 pollici, nemmeno nei 3 stelle sono presenti più. Il bagno non era pulitissimo e nella doccia vi erano confezioni di shampoo aperte e usate, anche nel frigobar della stanza le bottiglie erano aperte e quindi già utilizzate. RISTORANTE come dicevo prima location molto bella vista mare, ma prezzi davvero alti per il livello di cucina. Ho preso una linguina allo scoglio ed era buona ma la cosa strana è che era molto fredda all esterno e bollente all interno, frittura di calamari e non mi è piaciuta, tagliata di tonno ed era molto gommosa e difficile da masticare infatti l ho lasciata. Dal ristorante mi aspettavo molto di più, anche un po' di confusione nel ricevere le portate alcuni avevano i piatti e mangiavano e altri hanno mangiato dopo. PISCINA Molto bella anche se non ho avuto il tempo di utilizzarla visto la vicinanza al mare. COLAZIONE poca scelta nel salato, mentre nel dolce qualcosa in più c'era. Avevo grosse aspettative ma sono rimasto deluso visto il prezzo per una stanza, spero che nei prossimi mesi inizino una fase di ammodernamento perché hanno grossissimo potenzialità e non devono cullarsi sul nome che ormai si sono fatti, infatti per essere agosto l hotel non era pieno e una struttura sul mare non può non essere sold out.

As a long-term guest who lives in this hotel for almost nine weeks, I can make a good statement about it. The hotel is located directly on the waterfront with beautifully furnished, newly renovated rooms! The sea view with the sunrise is simply magnificent. The whole hotel appears to the visitor rather as a museum of modern art. The owners, the artist Mario Sposato and his brother, are the friendliness in person. Just like everybody who works here in the family hotel or the exquisit restaurant. For me it is simply recommendable.

Sono stata in questa struttura diverse volte, ma quest’ultima in occasione di un matrimonio, che dire se non meravigliosa!! location stupenda!! servizio 10 e lode cibo ottimo , una favola ad occhi aperti poi siamo rimasto ospiti una notte e la camera non era magari tra le più recenti, ma comunque dotata di ogni comodità, colazione inclusa tutto il personale disponibile e gentilissimo la vista impagabile
