From the very first moment I found Agriturismo Mirabello, I knew we had to visit. It was always my dream to stay in a stone house with shutters in Italy, with a long countryside driveway, a pool, and an authentic restaurant run by real Italians. Mirabello fulfilled every single part of that dream.
We stayed there with my husband and our two children, in a spacious three-room apartment with a living room, a children’s room with two beds, and a master bedroom with a double bed, along with a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, with plenty of dishes and pots, and there was lots of storage space in the rooms and a large, comfortable living area. The apartment was spotlessly clean, spacious, and smelled beautifully of fresh, natural candles.
The apartment had air conditioning, internet, a TV, a hair dryer, and a drying rack for clothes, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient.
Elisabetta and her family were very warm and welcoming to us, always smiling and making us feel at home. Elisabetta also gave us helpful tips on where to go and what to see in the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. She speaks very good English, which made communication easy and pleasant.
She even thought of the children: in the living room, there was a ball, coloring books, crayons, and markers ready for them to use, which made them feel welcome from the start. Bath towels and pool towels were provided, making it easy for us to relax without worrying about anything.
Breakfasts were a true Italian experience, with freshly baked cakes and croissants made by Elisabetta’s mother, fresh fruit, yogurt, and delicious coffee. In the evenings, we often had dinner at the Mirabello restaurant on-site, where we enjoyed amazing pizzas, delicious pasta, and desserts like tiramisu at very reasonable prices. The restaurant was always full of local Italians in the evenings, which speaks to the authenticity and quality of the food.
The pool was large, clean, and perfect for family time after a day of exploring. There are also football fields on the property, which our children loved. The location is excellent, only 2 km from Lake Garda, making it a perfect base for day trips around the lake or to Verona.
Agriturismo Mirabello gave us beautiful family memories, and we would rate it 10/10 without hesitation. We can’t...
Read moreAccommodation We stayed in the accommodation site for 6nights. The apartment was well equipped and set up for our stay. We had cooking facilities which we were able to use. Fridge and freezer for our use. The apartment was well kept, and clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable for our stay. The apartment had multiple bath towels for our use and the host left us beach towels to use. The complex had a communal swimming pool for guests to avail of. This was well kept and sun beds were beneficial for sunbathing. The AC in the room was very efficient and refreshing for us as our stay was during a heat wave. The bedroom had a fan above the bed which we could use too. The distance from the complex into desenzano town was roughly 1.5km which took us around 28min walk. This was fine for us as we enjoyed the walk and the area was safe for us to walk.
Restaurant The restaurant was a beautiful quant Italian style place where we enjoyed multiple nights. The restaurant got very busy in evenings showing its popularity and exquisite food. The staff were very welcoming and assisting when we needed English translation for the menu. The pizza and the pasta dishes were outstanding, all food and ingredients were so fresh and delicious. This was where we got to experience true Italian food.
Friendliness and Hospitality Our host welcomed us by collecting us from the desenzano train station. She transported us free of charge to the complex. Welcomed us so kindly with her very good English. Provided us with a fresh beverage on our arrival to the apartment. She assisted us with ideas of where to go each day and places/ towns to visit in the town. She was so helpful and made us feel right at home here. She offered to give us lifts if we needed at night or any time we were stuck or lost in the town. Each morning breakfast was included which again allowed us to experience true Italian style breakfast cakes and bakes. These were made freshly each morning. The complex and area seems to be run by family members which is lovely as they are all so kind and welcoming...
Read moreWe came here on our vacation at Lake Garda. Just 5 minutes away from the lake, the estate offers amazing views and a feeling like you’re in the Toscana. The restaurant is a true business. It’s run by the grandmother and her three grandkids. Super charming! When looking at the menu, we were surprised. The prices are more than fair. 2,50€ for a bottle of water, ~8€ for a pizza, 1€ for (great) espresso. I think this is a low price for this kind of food anywhere in the world, especially northern Italy and the region around Lake Garda. We had Antipasti, Pizzas, and Dessert, and everything was amazing.
