Bravo! A gem with unpretentious cooking and an excellent selection of dishes ready to eat or to be taken home. Every dish was lush and well-seasoned, ripe with the flavours of a land with bountiful produce guided by an experienced chef. I had a wonderful lentil soup, and slow-cooked beef in vegetable sauce with such shocking depth of flavour. The house wine I had the good fortune to taste is of the Sardinian Cannonau grape. I had a meal at the Osteria a week ago whilst on holiday. I am unfortunately allergic to tomatoes, so naturally being in Italy though I was going to have a really hard time when it came to ordering something enjoyable on the menu! Staff recommended a Pizza with pesto and Italian ham which was absolutely delicious! Osteria con tavoli all'aperto, sotto la chiesa di Diano Castello. Ci siamo stati il 16 agosto e poi da lì abbiamo visto i fuochi d'artificio fatti a Diano Marina. Eravamo in 6. Abbiamo preso 2 piatti di frisceu, 2 trofie al pesto, 1 piatto di ravioli alla borragine, 1 piattino di verdure grigliate, 4 dolci, 4 birre medie e una piccola e 2 acque e abbiamo speso 131 euro. Ciò che ho mangiato mi è piaciuto, ma comunque considero i prezzi un po' alti. 3 euro per 0,75 di acqua microfiltrata mi sembra troppo. I frisceu sono buoni, ma anche lì 16 euro al piatto (che ne contiene uno quadrato grosso con formaggio, 2 medi sempre con formaggio, 3 o 4 piccoli con erbette e 2 o 3 striscioline di ceci) mi sembra tanto. Locale informale, servizio standard. Attenzione alle foto del menu che riportano la pizza: sono foto vecchie. Abbiamo chiesto le pizze e ci hanno risposto "sono almeno 4 anni che non le facciamo più" (in realtà penso solo 2, perché una foto del vecchio menu è di 2 anni fa). Noi...
