Il Giardino — Restaurant in Drapia

We went to Il Giardino in Tropea for lunch and really enjoyed it. My partner had the fillet steak, and I went for the seafood spaghetti. The portions were very generous. The steak was cooked just right – medium, with a nice crispy outside and soft inside. The spaghetti was full of flavor and a real treat.

Delighted to come across this family run diner and store at lunchtime, only to be sufficiently impressed to return for dinner the same evening. The delicious pizzas cooked in a wood fired oven were exceptional and the price including house wine and beers made it a highly pleasurable dining experience. Mamma mia, che scoperta! 🇮🇹 In dieser Trattoria kommt la dolce vita direkt auf den Teller: Die Pasta ist — perfettamente al dente — und schmeckt, als hätte Nonna persönlich den Kochlöffel geschwungen. Buonissimo! Auch das hausgemachte Gelato und der cremige Espresso sind eine kleine Reise nach Bella Italia wert; hier spürt man noch „la cucina della mamma“.

Was das Ganze zum echten Geheimtipp macht: Trotz des tollen Ambientes ist der Laden nie überfüllt, sodass man in aller Ruhe „una bella serata“ genießen kann. Das Personal? Super simpatico!
