It was my last dinner for my first vacation in Sardinia. I went with two friends and ordered a pasta with minced mussels and zucchini sauce. But they gave me pasta with minced fish eggs of white and red color (to fake mussels). It tasted awful and disgusting. They changed the food without telling me and when I asked for three times, they denied it and insisted it was fish eggs. In the end I asked a last time because I needed someone to tell the truth. Finally a waiter admited it was not mussels but it was 'eggs of scallops'. I was so shocked that they finally admitted it and they had been lying to me during the whole dinner, trying to trick me into eating trash that should have been thrown away (it was not scallops eggs of course, it was trash fish eggs). And even though I was just asking calmly to understand what they had served me, the waiter got upset and said to me, quote, 'I can change your dish, just like a child, if you don't like it I will change it.'
I was in shock and at the same time I was insulted. So I broke out and threw my napkin on the table. I had never been so mad at a restaurant ever in my life. I was fed trash, lied to and insulted.
In the end they didn't ask my table to pay at all and we got to leave without paying. But the night was ruined. I would rather have paid twice or three times more to be served the food on the menu and to be respected as a human being. But no, no one even said sorry to me even though I got so mad.
I'm still shocked this day when I look back. It was the most awful, disgusting, and insulting experience at a...
Read moreWe had lunch there and we tried many different dishes. The overall experience was better than great, amazing location, great ambiance and really good food! Pecorino mousse with poached egg and caramelised onions was exceptional! Culurgiones were really nicely done and light. Basil ravioli stuffed with fish were also surprisingly good. Quail was extremely delicious, juicy and tasty! Lamb tagliata was also good, but not my favourite. Desserts we tried the juniper cream which was amazing and the panna cotta which was also super! Fyi, during lunch they do not serve suckling pig or degustasion menu. I highly recommend it and we will probably come back. Just visit the place already if you are still reading my review! 🤭 The combination of location, friendly environment and nicely cooked and presented food make this place an absolute worth...
Read moreLocal food cooked and presented beautifully. Stunning views and lovely service.
The gnocchi was the ideal texture and the lamb ragu had a depth of flavour without any earthiness as they use lean meat.
The ravioli was very rich, and if like me you like fish and want to try bottarga, I would highly recommend this dish.
The quail was delicate, perfectly cooked and the poppy seeds really work to bring out the flavours.
The wine (recommended from an extensive list of 300+ wines!) was a local natural wine from Dorgali with beautiful cherry notes. The best wine we had on the trip.
Even the simple antipasti of local meats and cheeses was high quality. Nothing...
