It was our first experience with El Portico and we have been positively surprised by both quality and value. This little beauty is hidden away from the busy traffic.||We booked for 5 nights. The room with mezzanine bedroom, have also a lounge, remote controlled blinds and a fantastic bathroom. Very trendy and extremely clean. ||The restaurant with outside terrace alongside a lovely swimming pool is fantastic. The wine list of Italian wines is well balanced - it also offers a wide selection of fine regional wines.||The staff is really friendly. ||The owners, can't seem to do enough to make you feel welcome. It was our first time at Il Portico and certainly wont be our last!! We were visiting family in Marotta, and found the location to be excellent, so much so that other family members intend to use it. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food is fabulous, the staff were so helpful and friendly nothing was a problem to them. In fact by the end of our six night stay, we felt part of their family.|| When we first arrived, I couldn't understand why there was so many dining tables for a place with only 6 rooms. We found out why on our first evening, it was full of local people eating there, my cousin told me it was the in place to eat.||We would highly recommend this hidden little gem of a hotel, to anyone traveling in this part of Italy.
