La Costa Sunset Bar Cala Trono Favignana — Restaurant in Favignana

All I have to say is that this place has an amazing view but that’s about it. Service is shocking and overall look is a bit shabby. Dirty by the main entrance, poor lighting, considering where it is located, with some care and love this place could be amazing. The guys are hardly smiling, and not attentive, walk around with heads down to avoid eye contact. First night we ordered a bottle of wine which took 40 minutes to come after chasing 3 times. At the end it arrived without ice bucket which I went to pick up myself. Very small menu and slightly overpriced as portions aren’t massive either. Food quality though is good. Second night we arrived after booking a table and after 20 minutes we still didn’t manage to get a drink. Again it is worth going for taking nice photos etc but 100% below...

Short version : This restaurant is great, go there!

Long version : We chose two type of busiate, one with octopus and the other with typical Sicilian sauce and prawns. The taste was great, the quantity of food was great. Compared to another restaurant where we had dinner, the price to quality and quantity was far superior !

The service was also very good, our waitress trying to close the gap in English with our very bad Italian and being super available.

To finish, the setup was beautiful, with a small terrace overviewing the sea.

If doing a trip from east to west on Favignana I really recommend stopping there! Our only regret is not being there for the sunset, that’s probably...

Il baldacchino vista mare della Costa: dove anche madre e figlia "schizzate e logorroiche del naviglio" 😝 trovano la pace e... "MUTE STANNO!" 😆😁 👍 😎 A godersi LA PACE. ...Anche perché hanno la pancia sazia degli ottimi piatti preparati da Francesca: pochi, semplici, ma veraci e di qualità, ispirati alla tradizione, con un tocco innovativo, e cura nella ricerca delle materie prime....(prezioso e raro per un chiosco sul mare, ma non a Favignana, dove la qualità è sempre presente, seppure diversificata nella forma e nella sostanza, ma è questo il bello! ☀️ Così è per lo meno, in tutti i chioschi sul mare che ho provato finora, sia a pranzo che al tramonto e che vi consiglio tutti xchè veramente meritano nelle loro diversità e peculiarità: la Costa a cala trono, quello a Punta lunga/Marasolo, quello in paese alla Praia e quello a cala rotonda, nella parte dell'isola chiamata bosco, oltre la galleria, l'ala più selvaggia di Favignana, ma che merita altrettanto, almeno un tramonto su Marettimo! Tornando alla Costa, ringrazio di cuore Antonio per l'ottima accoglienza e cura nel proporre il beverage, tutto lo staff x la sua realizzazione e la gentilezza, professionalità e cura nell'offirlo in tavola, pur sempre in stile chiosco ibizenco sul mare..connubio perfetto tra professionalità e "sciallo", come si dice qua e garanzia di benessere! Si pensa d arrivare x un'ora, giusto x un pranzetto veloce o per un aperitivo al tramonto, ma si resta anche tutto il pomeriggio o fino a chiusura, dato anche che mettono a disposizione gratuitamente lettini e baldacchini, appunto, gratuitamente! Il top del relax senza pensieri! Una menzione particolare a 'zu Peppe' credo o Salvatore....non ricordo bene il nome, ma ricordo bene che è un "vecchietto" spettacolare: un vero baywatcher d'altri tempi, che vi delizierà con i suoi racconti dell'isola, ma soprattutto con la sua esperienza di 'operatore turistico ante litteram' dagli anni '70 in poi....Grazie La Costa, per aver fatto passare un bel pomeriggio a me e alla mia mamma, come da...
