L'Agave — Restaurant in Framura

This place is no secret but I feel like guarding it with my life either way. Top level wine and food execution. Everything we ate and drank was hyperlocal (the potatoes with the fish of day were grown by an employee) and of upmost quality. This is a place where every detail is thought of and every decision is purposeful. There were three tastings to choose from on our night: a seafood one, a vegetarian one, and a larger mixed land and sea tasting. You can mix and match a la carte or go for the ride. We went for the fish tasting and added a dish of local eggplant that almost stole the show it was so good. We went with the wine pairing as well which was absolutely worth it. I've spent 10 days eating my way around the Eastern Liguran coast and L'Agave ranks as the numero uno of the restaurants I've visited. I had the 7 course tasting menu at lunch time. It was pretty much faultless; excellent ingredients, skillful and creative cooking, friendly and professional service. The pricing is very fair for the quality. Perhaps one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We chose the 9-course chef’s choice menu and were floored by the diversity of the dishes and the flawless consistency in pace, warmth, and decadence. The 5-glass wine pairing was impeccably matched — each pour unfolding in unexpected, delightful ways with the next course.
