Trattoria La Pignata — Restaurant in Frisanco

This was the absolute STANDOUT of my two week trip to Italy. We came with grandfather who is from Frisanco and decided this restaurant would be a great place to try on our last night in this town.

The food was incredible across the board. It felt like the best home cooked meals but elevated. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The town was quaint, quiet and majestic like nothing I'd ever experienced before.

Ci sono stata proprio ieri insieme a un'amica. La scelta del luogo è stata praticamente obbligata perché gli altri due ristoranti in zona erano chiusi. Abbiamo visto due tavoli all'aperto liberi e abbiamo chiesto se era possibile mangiare fuori; la risposta è stata dapprima un misterioso silenzio, seguito da un vago no quando abbiamo provato a insistere. Siamo quindi state costrette a mangiare al chiuso. I bicchieri apparecchiati sul tavolo erano sporchi, e anche due delle posate. Dal menù abbiamo scelto costolette d'agnello con carciofi e frico con le cipolle. In tavola sono arrivati costolette d'agnello con fagiolini e frico con le patate. Avremmo potuto anche soprassedere se le costolette non fossero state filacciose e le patate praticamente assenti dal frico. Alla fine siamo uscite a bere il caffè all'aperto e abbiamo constatato ad alta voce che i due famosi tavoli erano ancora liberi. A questo punto il gestore è intervenuto dicendo che non poteva occupare un tavolo solo per due, poiché se gli fosse arrivata una comitiva di sei/otto persone non avrebbe potuto unire i due tavoli per accoglierla e sarebbe stato costretto a mandar via le persone. Non spreco parole per commentare questa "filosofia" da ristoratore, estremamente scorretta. If you are travelling around this area, I'd highly recommend you stop by this restaurant for lunch. The view from the restaurant was incredible. The staffs were all very friendly and speak very good English. The food was really nice, I had the mushroom tagliatelle and as a big mushroom fan, I truly enjoyed the dish.
