Came here on the last evening of our vacation. Better value than restaurants in Taormina and even some in Naxos. Most people seemed to get the pizzas. They also have fish and salad dishes. Antipasti included bruschetta. We ate out in the square as it was a nice evening. However, bear in mind people can and probably will smoke without regard to who else is around (children, pregnant ladies etc). *EDITED FOLLOWING PART FOLLOWING REPLY FROM RESTAURANT* Got an Etna pizza and seafood linguine. Go with the pizza over the pasta. Pizza was nice. The restaurant is adamant they make the pasta to order. Assuming this means cooked to order, which is fine wouldn't expect anything less. Didn't say anything in the original review about having to wait. There was a bit of a wait for our pasta and our pizza, but nothing out of the ordinary. They query how we could say the pasta wasn't made fresh. When we asked if the pasta was made from scratch when we ate there they said it was not. It didn't look or taste like pasta made by hand from the base ingredients. So, there seems to be something lost in translation there. Not sure if the seafood contributed to an upset stomach the next day. It tasted ok, but who knows. Of course the restaurant strongly refuses to accept it could be their food. However, we literally ate no other meal other than a breakfast of cereal and bread that day, so it's pretty impossible it was that. Fresh seafood (there was no fish listed in the ingredients for the seafood linguine in the menu, but am extending them the courtesy of assuming their seafood is as fresh as they say their fish is) can still contribute to an upset tummy. Maybe should have gone for the trofie with pistachio pesto instead. We were too full to get dessert. The defensiveness of the restaurant in its response fails to acknowledge the review was overall quite nice to them, pretty neutral about the potential cause of stomach issues the next day and didn't blame them outright. To be honest I rounded up from what should be a 3.5 star review. As a level 9 reviewer I place great store in being fair and usually try to be more positive to small businesses doing their best and being pleasant when dealing with customers. The response from this establishment directly contradicts what they told us in person and doesn't even really address the points made, but tries to deflect and bring up unrelated things. On that basis it was overly generous to round up to a 4* review as a poor attitude and bad customer service means they should instead be rounded down to a 3* review, which is what I have now awarded them. This is not retaliation or being unjust, as I could have just given them 1* for their reply, which I do find quite provocative. We went there two times during our vacation since we live close by the restaurant. The price is very very reasonable, the portion is big! The taste is very good! 14€ for mixed fried fish, 7-12€ for pizzas. Drinks are also very reasonable price. Service is top! The only thing i like the least is the restaurant is located in front of the church which rings the bell every 15 mins, i personally think it’s too often. The kids are playing very very late in sicily (maybe during summer vacation, i don’t know). That makes noises during dinner as well.

One of the best experiences in Sicily 👌 Food was great! We ordered 9 different pizzas. All of them were solid and good. The best two were Etna and Bresaola . We were a bit disappointed with the Vege-burger, but it was taken from our bill as we didn't finish the dish. One of the most delicious starters was bruschetta with tomatoes 🍅
