Incredible food, incredible view, very easy to book.
It's a shame to write this review because unfortunately the service for us was terrible - and we aren't exactly sure why.
Ordered wine by the glass, the waitress so aggressively rushed past, poured it with no explanation so quickly that it splashed over the table and my shirt and then left without apology or further word. The waitress then moved to the next table and did a lovely presentation explaining the same wine and it's background to that table - part of the experience that wasn't offered to us. Service for our table was very slow compared to the others. We aren't exactly sure why we were treated differently but it certainly ruined it for us. Read moreWe had a reservation yesterday for a group of 8. The woman who served us — apparently the manager — was the one taking orders from each table. Unfortunately, her attitude was slightly aggressive; she interrupted me several times while I was simply asking about the menu.
As for the food, it may come down to personal taste, but I felt the quality didn’t match the price point. The risotto was oddly sweet, and the beef — which I asked to be cooked rare — was closer to raw than rare. On the positive side, the wine selection was very good, and the desserts were enjoyable.

The food was farm-to-table and absolutely amazing, we liked everything (including house-made bread, pasta, and olive oil) but the biggest surprise for me was venison tar tar (locally hunted). It was divine! The Badia 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva was my favorite wine in all of Tuscany (we did quite a lot of wine tasting in Tuscany). The views were magical (see my photos).
