DO NOT LISTEN TO GOOGLE MAPS. Listen to the other reviewer. Drive to Gallodoro and follow the signs to drive to the front door of Le Peitre. I drove from Taormina and thought the suggestion to drive to Gallodoro was for time savings but it’s actually because the route google maps suggests you take is NOT A REAL ROAD. When you are 2.5km away on the Google maps route will turn to a dirt path and then quickly become narrow, steep, rocky, and crevassed and impossible to continue. We had to back up and thankfully had a point where we could turn the car around to drive back down the mountain. As for the food - totally mind blowing. Had no idea what to expect but it exceeded any possible expectations. Plan for a long lunch / dinner. No menu, ten appetizers, two pastas (macaroni and ravioli), and grilled meats. The house red wine is excellent. All the food is very fresh and local. Great value and a great experience!

Great restaurant, absolutely recommended, but you need to be prepared that there is no menu. Basically they just keep bringing food to your table until you stop them 😃 We were not so hungry when we came, and there were so many appetizers we didn’t even make it to the main course. However, they were all delicious, so we didn’t mind at all. Also, the marker on the map was previously on the wrong spot (don’t know is fixed yet), the restaurant is a little further from the village, but still possible to walk, you just need to follow the road, can be around 10 minute walk from the sign. Recommended :) Credit cards accepted 💳

A must visit if you are in the area. Kind staff, the owner Giuseppe is a real gem. Real Sicilian food at a great price. Go for the complete menu, at €25 you can’t go wrong. It is like eating at your grandmothers house. Generous portions. Good wine. A word of advice, make sure the GPS takes you through the town of Gallodoro and not up a country road up a hill. I will definitely pay a visit the next time I am in Taormina. Grazie Giuseppe!

You know the second you walk in that you've made a great choice! The owner is fantastic and was very welcoming. He sat us near the fireplace (it was a bit chilly outside) and kindly offered to begin serving us.

To say the food was abundant and delicious is an understatement. He makes his own wine and while we typically opt for bottles vs restaurant produced, his was fantastic!

They don't have a menu - the food is bought out family style and they're generous with the portions. He started with the antipasto - TEN antipasto! Next we were offered 2 pastas and 2 meats.

Everything was delicious and we've recommended this restaurant to several vacationers that we've met during our time here.
