I booked a room at Locanda La Clusaz through Booking.com. Just an hour before my arrival, I received a call informing me that my reserved room was no longer available. Instead, the staff directed me to a Bed & Breakfast. Upon arrival at the B&B, we contacted Locanda La Clusaz, and they confirmed that they would not accommodate us in the 3-star hotel as initially booked. Instead, we were offered a semi-basement room at the B&B. They invited us to have dinner at the hotel, and since we were hungry, we accepted. The dinner was enjoyable, and we expected some form of compensation for the inconvenience and the downgrade in our accommodation. However, Locanda La Clusaz did not offer any discount or compensation. Since our original booking did not include breakfast, we assumed the B&B would at least offer it as compensation for the downgrade. Unfortunately, we were informed that breakfast would not be included and that we would need to pay €15 per person, unlike the other B&B guests who received breakfast for free. We ended up having breakfast elsewhere in Aosta. In the end, we paid for a 3-star hotel experience but received a semi-basement room in a B&B, without breakfast included. This experience was extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend avoiding...

I personally love this place, mainly due to the excellent, exorbitant food. A lot of tourists are just driving past this place as they don't know what's in there, which is a big mistake. ||||La Clusaz is basically a restaurant with some rooms attached. I always stay in the basic ones which are fine for me, as I am there for eating, hiking and taking photos, not relaxing in a hotel room. The rooms are very basic but contain everything someone would need. ||||The owner serves the wine at lunch and dinner and together with his wife are two great persons to listen to. ||||I will continue my habit to go there every year, it is a great place and a good stop to buy some excellent regional wines. ||||Prices for food and rooms are...

What a find. We went on a morning walk in search for a coffee. The lovely proprietor served us great coffee with gorgeous cookies, despite us not having any cash and the restaurant being closed. We promised to return that evening for dinner and pay our debts. We knew already that the hospitality would be fabulous but the food was outstanding, so was the service and the ambience. We took the surprise menu and a bottle of local Muscat, recommended by the excellent waiter, which fitted the menu beautifully. We left very happy and truly spoilt. We will be back one day...paying for our coffee!!! Thank you so much for an unforgettable night out. Raffaele and Anne

In 2022 we stayed here already and it was so nice that we came back in 2023. It's absolutely a lovely hotel, if you are traveling it's a perfect place on route after a long drive for a stopover but i would say... stay here for more days to fully enjoy the location and environment of the hotel. The hotel has a great atmosphere, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant is a discovery on itself with amazing food and wines. Aosta is a small drive away but worth it! I want especially thank the staff and Alessandro for the lovely stay er had again. I hope to come back again!!!
