This was a beautiful experience

So many things make this place great . The staff are welcoming, kind, respectful and attentive. The food includes some local specialities, particularly the deserts and the daily specials, using local ingredients to provide a variety to cater for all pallets. Everything is cooked with a great deal of care to give the guest a real culinary experience. The setting between the sea and the old town is magical.

We were a party of six spanning generations and everyone found something fantastic to eat. The day’s special, whose name I sadly can’t remember, was a subtle pasta with tuna and vegetables, others had beautifully cooked and presented beef tuna steaks.

The grilled vegetables we had to accompany the main courses we also beautifully presented and cooked perfectly - so often restaurants overcook vegetables, but one could see the care and attention that produced a plate of real taste.

Desserts include some local specialities along with some beautifully presented ice creams.

Our wine was Sicilian; a smooth blend of grapes that would stand up to many mainland reds at three times the price.

We've asked for non-alcoholic cocktails. My Wife asked and ordered, because she's italian. We especially ordered two non-alcoholic cocktails! Service thought about it, how they can serve us two non alcoholic drinks. Some Minutes later we became two cocktails with alcohol. We asked the Service, why we became this. Our Order took some sentences, so there was no possibility, for some misunderstandings, especially in italian language. My Wife said, that we have to drive the car. I never drink any alcohol, so one drink is too much for me. And now the final answer from service: " I know, you Germans don't drink and drive, but here on siciliy, it is a little bit different. El lugar posee una vista bella, sin embargo la camarera no me dejó sentarme junto al mar vaya a saber uno porque. Ni bien nos sentamos le pedimos dos aperol y unas tostadas con tomate. Nos dijo que el aperol costaba 5 y las tostadas 4. Nos trajeron la comida, no nos dieron siquiera un plato pequeño para apoyar las tostadas. Todavía mí madre estaba comiendo la última tostada pero la camarera (una maleducada) sin preguntar le sacó el plato donde estaban apoyadas. Mí madre tuvo que poner la tostada en la mesa (dado que ni siquiera nos dieron manteles individuales). Luego cuando termine mí aperol (mí madre seguía tomando) una camarera vino a sacarme el vaso (otra maleducada) a lo cual le dije que espere que todavia íbamos a estar allí. No pasaron 5 minutos que la primer camarera vino por atrás y sin preguntarme me intento sacar el vaso (aún cuando mí madre seguía consumiendo) a lo cual nuevamente le dije que espere. 5 minutos más tarde sucedió de nuevo la misma situación a lo cual le dije a la segunda camarera si había un problema por el cual nos estaban echando;ella respondió "son órdenes del dueño". La verdad la atención más que deplorable, las camareras son dos maleducadas . Nunca en mí vida tuve una experiencia tan mala en un bar como está. Viendo la poca cantidad de gente que trae me puedo dar una idea de que es normal .

Por último me cobraron 3 euros en concepto de servicio de mesa, cuando no me trajeron ni siquiera un vaso de agua.
