Ristoro La Châteleine — Restaurant in Gressan

Ok cozy small shack , but there are much better quality eateries along the slopes. This place’s selling point is the view behind glass, but in order to enjoy the view you have to sit and order in the Al La Carte restaurant which is VERY small and costly. We have not tried the food and unable to comment on quality.

The take away counter is indeed a bit of a rip-off; a small box of potato fries is charged at €6,- (at other places along the slope you get double the portion for €4.50). The guy’s comment was “I know it’s expensive …” My children didn’t like their Ham sandwich €7,50, or the small blunt Pizza (€6,-)

Overall, try to spend time and money better elsewhere....

Loved it best mountain restaurant in Pila, 4 beers all in individual glasses from the brewer (call me old fashioed but I love that). Champagne or prosecco quaffed by the locals over sharing boards. loads of choices of Italian sandwiches, plates/boards of local meats and cheeses excellent, I had various and the home made vegetarian bean and chestnut soup was simple, wholesome and generally superb. An excellent glasshouse view down the valley of 2 or 3 of the race start points in Pila. I already had a bad feeling about the food, but this isn’t even normal. It probably just came out of the freezer and was put in the microwave for 5 minutes. I took a bite a minute after I got it and it is already frozen. And I don’t know what the polenta is but it’s hard with an overload of tomato sauce.
