Ristorante Trattoria Sotto L' Arco — Restaurant in Greve in Chianti

We recently dined at Ristorante Trattoria Sotto L’Arco as a group of six, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Each of us ordered a different pasta dish, and without exception, every dish was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were generous. We also tried several meat dishes, which were top quality and absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with authentic flavor.

The service was equally impressive. The staff took great care of us throughout the evening. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.

The outside seating area at the back of the restaurant provided a fantastic atmosphere — relaxed, charming, and perfect for enjoying a long, leisurely meal in the fresh air.

Be sure to try their coffee — it’s truly excellent. The coffee had a deep, rich flavor with a smooth finish and a beautifully balanced aroma. It was one of the best cups we had during our trip and provided the perfect ending to an already memorable meal.

WHAT-A-MEAL. Me and 3 friends stayed in San Polo for 4 days, and we kept driving past this restaurant. On our last night together we decided to stop, and what a treat. We were expecting traditional Italian food served in a cozy restaurant, and that’s exactly what we got. But we didn’t know that we were going to sit in the beautiful back garden of the restaurant, and that Matteo will be friendly and just amazing with us. The food was spotless: we all ordered different dishes (way too many), and they were all very tasty. The service has been amazing all evening, nothing was too much for Matteo, and we had our best meal in Italy. It is very reasonably priced, so I highly recommend Ristorante Trattoria Sotto L’arco.

The owner along with the rest of the team were simply amazing. I have been here with an international group of 9 people, of which 2 coeliacs, without a reservation: they simply did their best to help us with our gluten free requirements, prepared some amazing food and adapted their recipes to accommodate our necessities. The food was good, the atmosphere was even better, and the owner along with Luisa, our waitress, were probably the friendliest folks I've had the luck to chat with during my permanence in the area. Whenever I'll be back, I'll make sure to pass by and enjoy some good food, drinks, and coffee here.
