We stayed 3 nights with our 4 year-old and one-month old at the Agriturismo il Melograno Di Banditella over Easter weekend, and friends of ours stayed at the same time with their kids. We had a great time, there are several types of rooms available (ours had a large King size bed plus a single cot and crib; our friends had a unit with a large bed plus bunk beds for the kids; and the other family had an apartment style unit with bedroom, living room with sofa bed and mini kitchen). There is a pool and hot tub (although not yet open during our visit), play ground for the kids, and beautiful horses to admire. The host and hostess are fantastic - very kind, hospitable and friendly. Thank you for the Easter treats for the kids - this was a nice surprise! The management and staff are very responsive to requests. My husband forgot his tablet in the room when we left, and Barbara was so kind to call us and help us to arrange a courier to deliver it to us in Rome. Thank you so much Barbara!! The restaurant serves a yummy breakfast (the fresh ricotta and apricot preserve are delicious and I am still eating this for breakfast with the jars we purchased and were kindly offered as a gift using departure!). We had half board and also enjoyed the delicious dinners. Dinner is served a bit late for the kids but they kindly allowed us to come a bit earlier to accommodate the children. The beach is not far and we had a great seafood lunch on Easter at a place near the Lido Oasi. There is a vineyard only 5 minutes away from the agriturismo (called Morrelino) where you can do a great wine tasting along with other local products like olive oil. We also spent a day at a fun park about 1 hour drive away (Cavalino Matto) which was fun. Our friends visited Pitigliano and had very nice things to say - beautiful Tuscan town. Overall we had a great stay and highly recommend this place, especially for families and also for...

Read moreWell, here we are again in Luxembourg. Holidays are finished. We will remember with pleasure our week we spend in the house of Renzo and Barbara. The location in the direct suburb of Grosseto offered everything you dream of to have a relaxing holyday: a traditional farmer's house, renovated according to the standards of a luxurary living with a spirit of tradition and comfort, a swimming pool to relax or to cool down your body and your mind, a hospitality offered by the owners of this wonderfull place and last but not least an italian "cuisine" offering the richness of italian menus fresh from the garden or from the stall: appetizer, antipasta, menu and dessert all prepared by Barbara , the owner of this exqusite Agrtiturismo "Il Melograne" and with the expicite descriptions of the meals presented in a humoorous way by her husband Renzo. The rich meals were adapted to the taste of everyone, if you like meat or if you are a vegatarian, your menus will be fitting to your taste. The dining ceremony is celebrated in a way of sharing your time in company with the other guests of the house and with a good shot of communitarian feeling to share the italian way of living. ||Dolce Vitae in its purest sense, thanks to Barbara and Renzo and their allways needed present colleagues. Thank you Barbara and Renzo for the beautiful time we spend at your farm.||Guiseppina and Carlo...
