Service: great, waiter was extremely nice, helpful, and fast.

Food: only good things to say. Had a vegetarian person in the group and the antipasto vegetariano was really nice. I had local pasta with truffles, and tried some pasta with boar ragu. All well executed, we were all happy with the end result. Note that I am originally from Italy, so I'm talking mostly about an italian taste :)

Location/ambience: not much to say - we had been looking for almost 1 hour for a place where to have lunch on a Monday afternoon in low season, most other restaurants were closed, and we had relatively low expectations. A real hidden jem. Who would ever have thought that in such a god-forgotten place like Casino di Terra you could find such incredible food. Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten, so creative with their topping and the most extraordinary range of bases (charcoal, ancient grains, hemp...). Their vegan pizza are phenomenal! Ci siamo fermati (coppia + bambina di 9 anni) di ritorno da Volterra per un pranzo veloce. Abbiamo chiesto un piatto di salumi e uno di patatine fritte con acqua e due birre. Al posto dei salumi ci è stato proposto il tagliere salumi e formaggi "facciamo per uno perché è abbondante". Abbiamo dovuto sollecitare la comanda perché dopo 30 minuti non arrivava. Ci è stato servito un tagliere carino, per carità, e i tre formaggi erano molto buoni, così come la giardiniera, ma i salumi...lasciamo perdere! Erano compresi 1 fetta di prosciutto e 1 di un grosso salame con grandi pezzi di grasso. Abbiamo chiesto lumi alla cameriera che ha dovuto discutere in cucina perché "eh beh era da 1!". Ci hanno integrato l'ordine con 1 fetta di mortadella tagliata in tre, 2 di prosciutto, 2 del salame di prima e 2 di uno più piccolo, tutto tagliato molto molto spesso (che sarebbe stato ok per il salame se non avesse avuto quei blocchi di grasso). Poi il conto ci ha davvero lasciati basiti, soprattutto per i 5€ di coperto considerate le tovaglie e i tovaglioli di carta. Inoltre i 13€ del tagliere non sono davvero giustificati. Siamo emiliani e conosciamo bene la qualità di un buon salume, anche in Toscana visto che veniamo in vacanza qui da molti anni. Insomma non possiamo davvero...
