Ristorante I Tre Pini Firenze — Restaurant in Impruneta

Absolutely the BEST experience I've ever had in Europe. And that's saying a lot! My boyfriend, friend and I were driving all around the outskirts of Florence to go wine tasting. None of the wineries were open and when we finally arrived at Ristorante I Tre Pini, we noticed the back kitchen door was open. The waitress was kind enough to bring us inside out of the rain to talk to one of the owners. They graciously let us stay to drink wine even though we were 3 hours early for their dinner opening. They treated us like we were their friends and we couldn't have felt more at home. We were so happy there that we stayed until dinner and much later. I had the Pici Cacio e Pepe, a meat and cheese board (which they brought to us prior to dinner so kindly), and the pizza bread. We came here as part of a tour with a set price menu. The food items included an all you can eat vegetarian bar, followed by two types of pasta, a T-bone steak, and two deserts. The vegetarian dishes were great and a fantastic way to start the course. The pasta dishes were great, just not enough to satisfy the pallet. The T-bone steak had three options (rare, medium, well-done). I requested rare but got medium-well, but even with that, it was a good steak. Had a group dinner under a tour group booking. This dinner is an optional Tuscany dinner experience. Food is mediocre... Not sure if it sure to a big group mass cooking!

The T-Bone steak size is daunting, and it varies among different guest being served. Estimated size of the steak ranging from 350-500 gram. Huge variation.
