Absolutely the BEST experience I've ever had in Europe. And that's saying a lot! My boyfriend, friend and I were driving all around the outskirts of Florence to go wine tasting. None of the wineries were open and when we finally arrived at Ristorante I Tre Pini, we noticed the back kitchen door was open. The waitress was kind enough to bring us inside out of the rain to talk to one of the owners. They graciously let us stay to drink wine even though we were 3 hours early for their dinner opening. They treated us like we were their friends and we couldn't have felt more at home. We were so happy there that we stayed until dinner and much later. I had the Pici Cacio e Pepe, a meat and cheese board (which they brought to us prior to dinner so kindly), and the pizza bread.
