La Sosta di Bacco — Restaurant in Ischia

My wife and I had been in that restaurant back in August 2022, and we were looking forward to coming back, truly. Although the bruschetta was good, we were both very disappointed with our pasta. I ordered the « spaghetti alle vongole » and she ordered the « ravioli agli agrumi ». My spaghetti didn’t look like actual spaghetti, it had the consistency and taste of instant noodles, and when paying the bill I questioned the type of pasta used for my dish and the waiter answered it was « fresh pasta made on site »… The ravioli were dry, especially the ricotta inside, and they were not presented in a traditional way, and they didn’t have any sauce. I’ll add to this review a photo taken by another customer, and posted last week to give you an example of what we were expecting both dishes to look like. You probably won’t need to be an expert at Italian food to spot the difference. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the chef, or maybe this place has changed. Il divieto di sosta di Bacco: La location, a causa delle scarse indicazioni e della posizione GPS errata è ostica da raggiungere. È necessario parcheggiare a circa 5 minuti a piedi per poi avviarsi in una serie di vie ripide. Alla fine di queste poi, un parcheggiatore ci ha fatto strada per un passaggio stretto e altrettanto ripido per poi finalmente raggiungere la meta. Per quanto scritto sopra, sconsiglio vivamente di indossare i tacchi. Siamo stati accolti in modo sobrio e distinto e ci hanno fatto sedere in un posto con un ottimo panorama. Il menu era semplice e con poca scelta e con mio grande stupore, tristemente scritto a penna. L'antipasto misto per cui abbiamo optato era di poca varietà e Oltre alla marmellata di more, io e i miei commensali non abbiamo gradito granché. Non avendo poi trovato primi piatti degni di nota, abbiamo optato per una tagliata con pomodorini, rucola e scaglie e per un tris di carne, specificando al momento dell'ordine che quest'ultimo dovesse essere per tre persone. Il piatto che ci è arrivato era però così composto: tre arrosticini, tre salsicce e un osso di manzo da cui ho ricavato una pezzo di carne cruda grande circa 2 cm per 2 La tagliata, dopo averla rimandata indietro poiché cruda, è stata l'unica vera soddisfazione di questa cena. I miei lettori mi scuseranno se non ho indagato e provato i dessert. Al momento del conto, ci è stato segnalato che ci era stato apportato un notevole sconto sul tris di carne dato dalla scarsa presenza di manzo,

Dallo scontrino, si è poi scoperto che il "notevole sconto" era pari a 2 euro.

Come ulteriori note, consiglio agli ospiti di portare con sé qualcosa da mettere sulla sedia poiché la paglia di cui sono composte ha sfilato entrambe le gonne delle mie gentili commensali.

Don't make the same mistake as we did by going here on your first night in Ischia. It will set the bar way too high for the rest of the trip and you'll end reminiscing about this place! An amazing night with great food that I'm sure they could probably charge more for (read very very affordable) and good wine. Icing on the cake was they even offered to drive us home once we were done!! Absolute legends
