Bathtub distilleria illegale — Restaurant in L'Aquila

Unfortunately a not so nice experience. While inside it looks hip, outside tables really need serious work..and on the cocktails, first when you claim you have no menu because you "have everything", it's not a nice impression to tell the customer "we have no lime btw", given 50% of cocktails have lime in them. Second, the 6 eur mojito I had was not a mojito, it was some mint thrown in a glass, most probably with some mojito syrup and water. The leaves need to be crushed with the lime for the flavors to get out. Down the street at Bruno's they offer a great mojito and other cocktails for like 5 eur. Competition is strong. Io e il mio compagno non capitiamo molto spesso in questo locale però ogni volta che siamo riusciti ad andare i loro cocktail ci hanno sorpreso! Questa sera ci hanno fatto assaggiare un “rum e pepe” e il guanto di Parigi, entrambi molto buoni, particolari, il primo speziato, il secondo aspro, a base di limone il gusto. Il personale è molto gentile e attento e sa consigliare il tipo di cocktail in base ai gusti (più secco o più dolce) dei clienti. Il prezzo dei cocktail è un po’ sopra la media dei locali presenti in città ma è rappresentato anche dall’originalità del mix di ingredienti usati per la composizione della bevanda!
