I came here for a wedding dinner and it did not disappoint. Everything had been meticulously planned out by the venue, alongside the newly married couple, and it made for such an incredibly enjoyable evening.
We began with 3-4 informal dishes outside, before heading inside for a more formal dinner (another 4-5 courses). There was a band playing throughout and all areas of the venue were open for guests to use. Finally, cake cutting was done outside and a selection of desserts was served to the area that we were at on arrival, before a coffee to end the evening.
A magnificent evening, which followed a lovely ceremony beforehand. Photos show the outside area before most guests arrived and a couple of my favourite dishes.
I really cannot recommend this venue highly enough. As someone experiencing their first Italian wedding, it really was fabulous - elegant, yet fun and informal with fantastic food and drinks served...
Read moreThis beautiful hotel is in a hilltop garden outside of L'Aquila. There are nice gathering places outside and in, and the rooms are spacious and sunny. Some have lovely flowers painted on the ceiling.||||Breakfast is basic but adequate ( pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereal), and service in the bar/breakfast room and restaurant is excellent, although almost no English is spoken.||||On our last night our group had a delicious dinner in the restaurant that included the best steak I've ever eaten outside of the US.||||Housekeeping was earnest but helter-skelter. Our second day everyone's soap disappeared. Our third day we thought items were missing from all six rooms, but it turned out our clutter had safely been tucked into drawers.||||The hotel does host weddings. If your stay coincides with one (Saturday night for us,) you will hear music until late late at night. Relax and enjoy what felt to us like a little view of local...
