AVOID SPINNAKER!!! EVITA SPINNAKER!!! SPINNAKER BLOSS NICHT! Waited 40 Minutes for a cold starter consisting of salume, formaggio and pane - should have leaved - it was a sign. Did not get any better. My wife ordered Pasta Salmone: we are making holidays in Italy from Northern Adria to Roma and Puglia since more than 20 years. Never ever eaten such a bad pasta salmone in 20 YEARS! No taste nothing. If a cook shows a 13 year old kid once how to cook it - it most probably produces a better tasting dish with the first attempt. So I cannot imagine that any of the other pasta can be better. I ordered fritto misto di mare. You virtually cannot make it wrong. That was my luck, it was nothing special, but hunger is the best cook, so it was eatable. Pizza I cannot tell - many people ordered it. Who knows if they come again ... we certainly won’t. This restaurant stole one holiday dinner evening. I don’t care about the lost money, but for the lost opportunity to have a good dinner experience. Waitresses are surely nice persons in private life, however service itself as well at best mediocre in general what I saw during the 40 minutes waiting for the starter 🤦♂️ Waitress forgot it to serve, so in our special case 1* but okay that can happen ... if at least the quality would have made up for it. AVOID...
Read moreUnforgetable experience! We sat down and ordered tiramisu. The waitress served a sandwich like piece which was placed on a piece of plastic, typical for super market deserts. The suspicion became reality, the tiramisu tasted awful and was frozen partially. I called the waitress and told her that the tiramisu tastes like $H*T, obviously bought in the supermarket and I refuse to pay 5 Euro! She disappeared and came back with 2 more women.I felt surrounded and agression lied in the air.I thought that I lose my virginity for the second time. The older woman started to explain in Italian that the desert is called SEMIFREDDO TIRAMISU AND is the best in Italy! I've been to Rome but never heard of such thing! OK, I thought to myself, the world is full of surprises! To my satisfaction the waitress made me a special offer. One Euro off which resulted in 4 Euro in total! We thanked and left, one experience and 1...
Read moreOnly place open in Isola Rossa in the off season. 15 minutes to get the wine we ordered and it was a glass, not 2x 0.25 carafes as asked. Box wine? Stale local "crispy" bread, not edible. Ravioli ricotta were okay! But not really a Sardinian tradition? Somehow I expected something different from Metro standard pasta, based on the menu explanation. The scallopine al limone was (near as we could determine) not veal, maybe turkey?, In fact it wasn't specified on the menu. Sauce tasted like Knorr or Maggi powdered mix. At the end my wife ran to the supermarket as it closed to get cookies and a bottle of wine for home. Waiter was, however, pleasant.
TL;DR: should've followed my instincts and read Google reviews first. Then we would have implemented Plan B and cooked in the...
