Ristorante Enoteca Bonfanti — Restaurant in Larciano

On our last evening in Italy, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Upon entering, we had to look closely because the restaurant area was hidden behind the bar.

Fabio was our host and welcomed us to the restaurant. The menu isn't extensive, but the dishes served are clearly prepared with love. Besides the menu items, there was also the opportunity to customize the dishes to your liking. We could share the appetizer, and for our son, we could order the classic pasta carbonara, which wasn't on the menu. Fabio recommended a delicious wine to pair with the pasta and provided helpful explanations about the flavors and the region's origins. The food was delicious, flavorful, and neatly presented. The staff checked regularly to make sure everything was to our liking without being intrusive. The dessert menu made choosing so much difficult because everything looked so delicious! Finally, we had an espresso and an ice-cold limoncello on the house.

The price-quality ratio was excellent in our opinion. The price of a glass of wine or a beer was a bit high, but it's a choice whether or not to have it. We did and we absolutely didn't regret it. We certainly ate cheaper, but for the food we enjoyed, the bill was certainly not excessive. As a complimentary dessert, we were treated to a beautiful view.

A Truly Memorable Dining Experience

This restaurant was an absolute gem. The terrace offers one of the best spots to watch the sunset, and every dish we had was exceptional. One of my colleagues even said it was the best bolognese pasta they’d ever had—and I completely agree, especially with the tiramisu, which was the best I’ve had in all my time in Italy.

What made the experience even more special was Fabio, who is one of the warmest and most passionate hosts we’ve met. His love for food and wine genuinely enhanced our entire evening.

We were staying at an Airbnb about 2km away, and when we were unsure how to get back, Fabio kindly and spontaneously offered to drive us home. What a wonderful person.

On our second visit, Fabio wasn’t there, but he had thoughtfully asked his father to make sure we got home safely—just incredible hospitality. This is not just a place to eat, but a place to feel genuinely cared for.

The food was excellent and the staff were great! The only issue was that one starter came well before the others, maybe by accident. I will come back!

This is not quite the restaurant's fault, but there was just so much smoking from the guests around us. We were seated on the terrace, so I understand it's fair game. But it didn't let up, even one lady was vaping inside since the terrace was open nearby. It was just bad...
