During our stay in Cefalu we had the pleasure of stumbling upon this somewhat hidden gem of a restaurant. You dine in Michelangelo's private place. Space is therefore naturally limited (perhaps 12 people at most; We four were the only guests that evening), so it is essential to book in advance (also for planning purposes, of course). I really can't understand any bad review from someone who didn't book in advance and therefore gave it one star. That is simply disrespectful. Michelangelo speaks English, so communication over the phone for the reservation and at his place was easy and very friendly. Most importantly, the food was excellent. Because of his experience as a chef, Michelangelo combines Italian dishes with Asian or Latin American influences. During our two weeks in Sicily, we went daily to a good restaurant, but Michelangelo's food was one of the best culinary experiences we had there. It was a welcome change from the also good but admittedly a bit one-dimensional cuisine of many other restaurants there. Considering also the prices in other restaurants, the quality (and quantity) of what you get for what you pay is very good. We would highly recommend trying his place. You will not regret it. You can't find any better place than this in Sicily. This place is outstanding. Thank you so much for the possibility to be your guests. This experience will always remind us to our vacation. We had a very pleasant evening and a fantastic dinner. The menu is an absolute highlight and was one of the best we ever had. Service was world-class and there is no room for complaints. @Michelangelo: thank you so much for all the miracles you prepared for us. We will remember this evening and dinner all the time.
