Ristorante Gambero Rosso — Restaurant in Lerici

We visited this place in October. It was disapointed.. we had some experiance before - when you order main cource you have to order sides seperately and this is not something that bothers me, but i think it would be good that when you order food, that waitress would let you know that it is without potatoes or rise... main things about food - meat and fish was without grain of salt... we ordered medium steak and it was raw inside... not medium rare - RAW.. fried calmari was ok, would be nice to get some dip with it. We also ordered sea food grill mix for 2 people and payed 44 eur for it - we got 2 fish filets, 6 shrimps, couple pcs of calmari and couple pcs of tuna, enought food to eat for 2 persons but for that price to add few potatoes or more salad wouldnt hurt anybody... ravioli was nice. The last dish of fried meat was.. i dont know - have a look at the picture and tell if you would be happy to get this dish...

We had a really nice dinner here today. The food was really good, best seefood pasta we had so far. Prices are reasonable and service was kind but not annoying like some other places.

The tiramisu is highly recomended.

If your staying at europe grand hotel - which is als a very nice hotel - it is a good idea to stop by at this restaurant and treat you with a original and authentic ligurian seefood Dinner Experience, dodging the usual tourist-traps you are faced with further down...

Piccola premessa, la recensione è per il ristorante e non l'albergo. Location e servizio non impeccabili ma ci sta nel contesto, se si cerca il ristorante fighetto e di tendenza meglio evitare perché qui siamo fermi agli anni 90 sia come arredamento che come preparazione piatti. Tutto sommato la cena è stata nella norma/buona. La "tragedia" è arrivata al momento del pagamento. Ci avviamo alla cassa e vediamo il nostro foglio con le comande e i prezzi affianco ad ogni portata. Conto totale 85 ma che viene barrato e vediamo la scritta 80 Euro (prezzo onesto per quello che avevamo preso) e ci viene chiesto come preferissimo pagare, contanti o carta. Rispondiamo con carta e notiamo che lo scontrino è di 85 euro, alla nostra obiezione del perché del mancato sconto ( e sottolineo che non avevamo chiesto nulla, aveva fatto tutto il signore alla cassa) ci dice che lo sconto è solo per il pagamento in contanti!! Leggermente infastiditi chiediamo di avere il foglio con le comande ma il signore si allontana stracciandolo e ne fa uno nuovo omettendo il famoso sconto. Il problema non è tanto per i 5 euro, quando si è in vacanza non lo guardiamo nemmeno, ma per il gesto poco elegante. Siamo nel 2023 e si fa ancora questa figura becera per evitare di pagare le tasse probabilmente, ma come scrivevo sopra, qui siamo fermi agli anni 90....
