N’ZEMMULA RISTORANTE — Restaurant in Licata

We stopped at the restaurant to have lunch and a break on the journey from west coast to the east side of Sicily. It was perfect! It is easy to park, the food was amazing (fish, meat or also vegetarian dishes), with a very nice and attentive service. We shared the seafood starter and had one pasta each, but have been so stuffed, needed to skip the dessert... We also had our two (bigger) dogs with us, no problem to take them inside. We very pleasantly surprised by a fine-dining restaurant with our stop in the middle of nowhere, where you just expect fast-food and that kind of like. Service was impeccable, even if they barely spoke English – but we got along. The chef delighted us with extra dishes, and the food and the wine were great. And we even paid less than expected for such a great lunch, coming from places like Catania, Syracuse and Ragusa. Overall poor. Food was peculiar with strange flavours, and was not as described. For example one of us ordered pasta which was supposed to be served in a bisque but it wasnt, just tasted strongly of fish and nothing else. I ordered one of the only two meat options on the menu, which was also weird.
