I've reviewed this once but having stayed again thought it worth revisiting. All is as before and Chalet 1400 is for me the best place I know for a few days skiing in Limone. Right on the main lift station you can drive in and ski out! We had a family room which has a large and supremely comfortable double bed and a pair of bunk beds. Very quiet with plenty of space and a large undergound car park which fits a 4x4 with a ski rack.||||The price of the room included a four course dinner for four which was truly delicious as was the breakfast and the nibbles served with your evening drink. The staff are incredibly friendly and Michela makes everyone feel at home. Our children were all very sad to leave this hotel where they are made so welcome. ||||Skiing in February was wonderful despite the fact that Limone had no snow at all in January. It is one of the nicest places to ski and compares very favourably with resorts like Megeve which is simlilar in terms of height. Read moreWe just spent the weekend with our friends at Chalet 1400 in Limone. We had a great weekend. Our children felt like they were at home, they enjoyed the food and especially that they could walk up and down from the room to the restaurant. Being situated directly at the ski slopes allowed us to be first at the skis in the morning and no problems for parking.||We had half board included in our fare and that was absolutely worth it. A variety of dishes which allowed us to taste some local food. The waiters are very friendly and also a big thank you to the kitchen staff who mades lots of efforts for our son who eats gluten-free.||Thank you MIchela for the nice welcome and we hope to see you...
Read moreLoved this place. Not a bit like anywhere else you might find and certainly not like anything else in Limone. Yes it's a cafeteria, yes the rooms are tiny and yes there is no reception but frankly what does that matter when the rooms are big enough, the food is great and I can't think of a single reason why you would want a reception unless you were a delegate at a conference. Above all else you have Michaela who makes everything fine and everyone feel at home which is quite a hard trick to pull off in a frantic cafeteria. It's not madly cheap but it is great value and we would not choose to stay anywhere else, not unless that is, you read this review and...
