A Pleasant Surprise
We initially aimed to dine at a restaurant up the hill, but it was fully booked. The staff there recommended this restaurant to us, and though skeptical, we decided to try it.
Hungry, we arrived and sat outside on the terrace, enjoying the pleasant weather. The staff noticed we didn't speak Italian and kindly communicated with us in English.
We ordered two pizzas: two Cuatro Formaggi and one with a special sauce. The food was fantastic and the service friendly.
The only downside was the environment. The terrace had poor lighting, and two flies annoyed us during the meal, which is why I rated the environment three stars. (not really their fault)
For dessert, we had tiramisu and panna cotta, both of which were amazing.

Read morePizza from the pizzaiolo was ok, though still a bit wet and no black olives - on a Capricciosa. Service was friendly on the waiters side but pretty cheeky at the cashier. Things I didn't like:
Coperto but still you had to ask for bread, oil. Also, she charged me € 5 for two, three slices of standard ham (cooked) which I had asked for my dog. Latter made me give 2 stars instead of four. It should be possible to eat a €8,50 pizza with €5 wine below €20.
That she explained to me that a portion of ham would usually cost €10 a portion and not 'only' five - as if my dog had required some mixed antipasti - didn't make the experience any better. No wonder all the locals only go...
