The wine is equally pleasing — dominated by the estate’s own elegant, small-batch vintages, the red we had the privilege to experience, perfectly matched to the robust flavours of the kitchen.

The setting is rustic-chic — stone walls, weathered wood, and softly lit tables, all with a view that stretches lazily over sun-dappled vineyards. As the sun sets, the entire estate is thoughtfully lit, and the air hums with cicadas and crickets, conversation and vibrant music.

Yet, what truly sets Tenuta dell’Osteria Maria apart is its service and soul. The team, led by the visionary owners, exudes genuine passion and pride. Every plate is presented with care and knowledge, the wine shared with quiet reverence for its origin. The hospitality here is not rehearsed — it’s deeply felt and engaging.

Exceptional food and service in the most beautiful of settings.

My wife and I went for dinner here as part of a week long holiday to Sardinia and it was definitely one of the highlights.

We arrived to the restaurant through winding hills of the vineyard which was lit up beautifully. As we walked from the car we were met by the host outside with welcome drinks and given a really warm welcome.

Shortly after our drinks we were sat in the restaurant overlooking the vineyard with delicious food awaiting us. While it was advertised as 4 courses in reality it was more like 14! Which was a lovely surprise and the food was of a really high standard throughout.

The service from start to finish was welcoming and attentive and you could tell the staff really enjoyed their jobs.

Throughout the evening they had a local musician singing as the entertainment and towards the end of the dinner it ramped up and became really lively with people up dancing and singing along. We got caught up in a conga line at one point!

Also a lovely addition to the place were 3 or 4 big cuddly dogs that were roaming around the vicinity.

This is definitely a destination venue for a night out rather than just somewhere to have dinner. It’s a real experience that you should spend a good few hours enjoying. They manage to blend high end food and service with a really fun, friendly and lively atmosphere.

My heart is still full from the unforgettable night we spent at this beautiful restaurant and winery during our honeymoon. Everything about this place was truly magical — from the breathtaking views to the exquisite food and wine, every moment felt like a dream.

The food was absolutely incredible — each course better than the last — and the wine pairings were just perfect. We left completely full, but so satisfied and happy. What made the evening truly unforgettable, though, was the warmth and kindness of the team. They went above and beyond to make us feel celebrated, offering us a special toast, heartfelt wishes for our future together, and even thoughtful gifts to remember the evening by.

It was such a personal, romantic, and joy-filled experience — we left with glowing hearts and big smiles. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. If you’re looking for a romantic evening with world-class food, stunning views, and the kindest staff, this is it. A forever...
