L'Osteria del Fondaccio — Restaurant in Loro Ciuffenna

The assortment was sparse, and multiple things on the short menu were not even available. We ordered medium cooked beef which arrived completely bloody and inedible. And the carbonara was drowning in oil. Every dish was overpriced; even starters came in at minimum 15-16€ for portion that could barely feed half-a-person. Inside the restaurant was hotter than the Sahara desert itself during summer (no AC or nothing). Music choice made me feel like I’m attending AC/DC concert (wish I could write about the AC part in a different scenario). After all of that 14€ for service, and we waited 20min to even receive menu in an empty restaurant (wasn’t mentioned in the menu by the way). Pro tip: order the check along with ordering your food if you want to leave the place...

Simple but very delicious courses. We have had great food on our two weeks of Tuscany, but this was the best we had! Prices are moderate for the quality of food. Excluding tip and including a bottle of wine of 35 euro we spend 40 euro per person for pasta, main course, dessert and coffee. You will not be dissapointed. We had spaghetti carbonara with truffels, beef with rosemary, beef with truffels and as dessert panacotta with blueberries and the other cheesecake. The advised wine ASKA Bolgherri was a good combination with the pasta and main course. Service was perfect, quick in perfect English...

So this restaurant it’s something else… next level for taste 🤤🤤 Something like “shut up and take my money“ 😂🙈. Panna cotta was amazing! 🤩 Everything was so delicious & tasty. Highly recommend this place! We are very lucky because we came here at the beginning of our stay around area and for sure we’ll come back again here.
