Lido Playa De Rio — Restaurant in Marsala

Small beach and restaurant near Trapani airport, 20 minute drive from Marsala. Beautiful clear and clean water, cold in June, but the temps were high so it was very refreshing. Plenty of good quality sun beds and umbrellas. Prices range EU12-16 which is pretty much the norm here. The owners and staff are very friendly. Most importantly the sand is very clean. I've often noticed that it isn't in Sicily. Amenities are clean also. Shower costs EU50c, it's cold but perfectly adequate to rinse off the salty water. We ate at the restaurant 3 times. We went there together as a group of 4. We had to wait over 5 minutes for the table to be cleaned after previous guests. After that the waitress came, stepped on a ketchup package left on the floor, putting it all over me. No help with cleaning or even ‘I’m sorry’. Unfortunately, the food was also not tasty, we left almost half of it. At the end, when one of us was still sitting at the table, the other waiter came to clean it. He took 20 euro bill which was left next to the phone. We went to the bar and said, it was not a tip and we would like to get it back - but they didn’t react....

Siamo una coppia che per la prima volta è venuta a Marsala. Siamo capitati in questo lido per caso , ma , come si dice , è stato amore a prima vista. Siamo stati accolti dalla signora Graziella e dal figlio Sebastiano, nonostante ci siano state molte persone , non è mancata la minima attenzione alle nostre richieste. Il sentimento che si avverte è quello di un caloroso benvenuto , assaporerete proprio un profumo di vacanza e relax totale. In spiaggia ci ha accolti il mitico Emanuele , un ragazzo giovane , intelligente , e sopratutto molto educato che lavora con molta passione e dedizione, un punto di riferimento indispensabile. La location è sensazionale dalle prime ore del mattino fino a tarda sera. Lo special , per quello che riguarda la location , è una palafitta sul mare dove alla sera si possono gustare eccellenti piatti cucinati dallo chef. Fa anche pizzeria , ma quello che ci ha sorpresi è che sono fornitissimi ed attentissimi al Gluten Free , in quanto la mia compagnia è celiaca. Alla sera abbiamo gustato dei piatti, insalata di mare ( eccellente, freschissima), pepata di cozze nostrane ( da urlo) , spada con pomodorini ed olive ( sensazionale). Il tutto condito da una vista mozzafiato sul tramonto e sopratutto serviti dal cameriere Roberto, che è il punto di riferimento per un servizio impeccabile. I prezzi sono assolutamente più che abbordabili , personalmente non posso dire di aver mai mangiato pesce così con quei prezzi.
