Ristorante Osteria Al Morer — Restaurant in Maser

Based on Google's opening hours indication (10-23:00) we arrived at 18 h. The restaurant was closed, staff working inside. Unable to ignore the recommendations we waited a couple of minutes after trying to get their attention. Once some kids noticed us we asked if we could have dinner with them and if it's ok to have a drink while waiting for the opening (as per their own Facebook page: 19 h). They refused politely and referred to everything needed to be prepared and we couldn't be served. Fair enough, we stayed in the car waiting @34 °C as a compromise to the mosquitoes in the parking. Finally they opened the front door so we went in, greeting to our best Italiano. The lady we spoke to half an hour ago was very strict seeing us out again telling us they opened at 19:30 :-( Afraid to be told even later next time we left the location and got some local food...

Seriously one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in Italy. The setting is remarkable with views, decor, and an ambiance that's always worth coming back. The service is very good and the food has never disappointed.

The flavors and ingredients make for authentic Italian cuisine. This time I had the ravioli (second plate) and the desert (pictured here) was perhaps the best I've eaten although I've forgotten the name.

It is a fantastic restaurant with a superb view of the vignards and Veneto country Side, on good days, up to Venice. Authentic food, great fish dishes, superb pasta, and a to-die-for tiramisu and Meringata cake. It is to be tried if you visit the area or even for a nice family lunch...
