Ristorante - Pizzeria Sant’Antonio — Restaurant in Mattinata

Came here as a family midway through a holiday travelling across Italy. Great location and great atmosphere. Really recommend the pizza, and at a very good price. Very popular - so get there early / pre-book, or be prepared to wait. Restaurant was full within 20 mins of us arriving and service noticeably slowed after that. Appered to be popular which was a good sign!

Me and my family visited this restaurant a few times during our stay in Mattinata. The food was delicious every single time and the price/quality ratio is also very good, especially compared to other restaurants we visited in Mattinata or Bari. I usually chose “pasta of the day” and I highly recommend it. The stuff were nice too, some of them were also willing to help with some Italian-English translation...

Dopo altre 2 simili esperienze a Mattinata, abbiamo prenotato per cena a lido sant’antonio e sinceramente il primo impatto “estetico” è stato positivo, poi mi sono resa conto che non è affatto diverso da molti altri della zona. Scarsissimo Rapporto qualità prezzo: Abbiamo ordinato una porzione di insalata di polpo, dal costo di 14 euro ed era a dir poco un assaggino, seguita da una frittura di calamari “versione minimal” ed una grigliata.. Udite udite: alla modica cifra di 18 euro mi sono ritrovata un piatto con: Mezza seppia, mezzo pesce e un gambero.. quindi tre pezzi a metà; il valore del piatto era praticamente di scarse due euro… nemmeno fossimo nel ristorante stellato Michelin! Dopo aver cercato un minimo dialogo con la cameriera per capire se fosse un “errore” o meno, senza battere ciglio mi sono sentita dire: “Signora questo è”.. Io poi mi chiedo: ma come fanno sul Gargano ancora a lavorare così???? Piuttosto che accogliere il turista lo scannano senza nemmeno un minimo di gentilezza! Purtroppo da persona del posto, vi devo sconsigliare questo...
