La Caletta del Canavese lago di Candia Canavese — Restaurant in Mazzè

Let's start with the good things. The location is really nice. The outdoor part is great, cozy and it seems to be ina magic Place. The lake makes its part on it. The restaurant, its "structure", is beautiful. It looks recently renovated with good taste and class. The music played during the evening was beautiful, with a mix of songs from the 30es and 40es. Amazing. Now the "bad part". First, the service. Not really friendly. It looked like they didn't want to give us a table outside mostly because we just wanted to eat pizza. Yes, it is true, we didn't have a reservation but the whole evening some tables outside remained empty... Anyway... Let's talk about the main point: the food. Pizza was bad. Too thin and dry. We have waited for it almost one hour and it arrived straight after we asked if finally it was ready and... It was cold, with the cheese no more soft and stringy but almost solid. The same as the pizza you buy and bring home. I've asked if they had a waizen beer or something similar and they suggested me a Belgian one. It was nothing like s "biere blanche" from there but almost a double malt. Finally, while I went to pay, the two owner were rudely talk about a customer that called in the morning to organise a dinner.

I don't recommend at all the place and it is something I don't...

If you are looking for a beautiful view, are open to food adventures, and wanting to enjoy sitting and enjoying an amazing meal… eat here! We tried other local places, including Residenza del Lago and this was way better!

Details: My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at La Caletta while vacationing throughout Italy over 7 days.  We had the best, most delicious meal here of the whole trip! We are foodies and asked Angelo, one of at least 2 waitstaff that spoke english, to help select local dishes. We started with a fantastic sparkling wine from the Piedmont area and a lovely take on Battuta di Fassone. A delicately delicious dish that paired beautifully with the parmesan cheese and the supremely airy and light breadsticks. We then followed with a pasta course of ravioli with egg yolk which was incredibly creamy and decadent. For our main, a baked turbot with sauteed vegetables which was meticulously plated before our eyes and tasted as fresh as fish can come. Magnifico...Affascinante...Romantico. Ci sono troppe parole che potrebbero descrivere un posto come questo, tante cose da dire ma troppo poco spazio per scriverle, quindi cercherò di fare del mio meglio.Appena abbiamo visto questo posto, ce ne siamo innamorati al punto da decidere di farla diventare la location per il giorno più importante della nostra vita. Un posto dove l'occhio verrà sempre appagato ad ogni battito. Il verde che circonda lo splendido ed elegante dehors dove abbiamo festeggiato, era solo una delle meraviglie di questo luogo. Il tramonto sul lago nello sfondo è stata una splendida cornice. Cucina fantastica, attenta ai sapori e alle combinazioni migliori per dare un esperienza ad ogni boccone. Dagli aperitivi( i conetti con il fritto misto hanno spaccato), agli antipasti al dolce è stato tutto perfetto (parola mia e degli ospiti che mi hanno fatto i complimenti per ogni piatto), tra l'altro con servizio alla francese eccellente. I tavoli sono stati apparecchiati rispettando perfettamente gli spazi a disposizione e dando ad ogni ospite la libertà di movimento nonostante posate e centri-tavola ottimamente assortiti. Il chiringuito a disposizione per i Dj e i bar-man era splendido con anche lo spazio per ballare. Con il lago alle spalle a pochi passi, sembrava di essere in spiaggia. La possibilità delle lanterne dell'amore e l'uso delle barche a remi è stata la ciliegina. Ma tra queste cose, una fra tutte è Manuela, la proprietaria del ristorante. Una persona fantastica, disponibile ad ogni nostra esigenza e capriccio. Ci ha fatto sentire a nostro agio dal primo momento in cui siamo entrati. Per noi è stata come una di famiglia dal primo giorno.Ci ha fatto diventare questo momento ancora più indimenticabile. Ringraziamo ovviamente anche lo staff che è stato davvero impeccabile tutta la sera. La Caletta, dopo questo, è diventato ufficialmente il luogo del nostro...
