Bellavista ristorante eventi — Restaurant in Milazzo

The restaurant Bellavista offers excellent views on the straight of Messina and the close coastline of Calabria.

There is an indoor and an outdoor area which is both very pleasant.

The menu offers a good choice of antipasti (appetizers), primi (first dishes), and secondi (main courses). In addition, the wine list covers a great selection of regional and national wines at decent prices.

The food was very fresh, great in preparation, and very tasty. Our raw fish was very fresh, and the selection of different types of fish was excellent.

The prices may be higher than in other places but adequate to the quality, and the quantity served.

The service was kind and courteous.

Like any of my reviews, of course, this review is being made related to the type of restaurant, the restaurant's gastronomic objective, and the overall context.

Come rovinare un matrimonio! Da dove iniziare? È andato tutto storto! Ci siamo sposati l’8 luglio al Bellavista e siamo rimasti profondamente delusi dalla cena e dal comportamento scorretto e ingannevole della responsabile R. I piatti che ci hanno servito non sono stati gli stessi che abbiamo assaggiato alla prova, nè per il gusto nè per l’impiattamento. Hanno arbitrariamente cambiato il menù di carne sia con uno dei due primi che con il secondo (avevamo scelto un filetto al pepe nero e ci è arrivata una fettina ai ferri!!!!). A tre giorni dal matrimonio ci comunicano che non è possibile fare la friggitoria a vista, come da accordi, perché l’olio potrebbe rovinare il prato!!! Naturalmente avevamo pagato una maggiorazione per avere lo show cooking e in particolar modo per la frittura del pesce al momento. Anche l’illuminazione del buffet lasciava a desiderare, gli ospiti non vedevano neanche cosa avessero nel piatto! Naturalmente ci era stato assicurata la presenza di lampade che avrebbero illuminato anche quella parte di giardino. La cosa più grave in assoluto è aver mentito sulla presenza dello chef per la serata! Noi infatti abbiamo scelto la struttura soprattutto per la presenza di un determinato chef, con il quale abbiamo fatto la prova menù e del quale ci aveva assicurato la presenza fino a due giorni prima! Abbiamo scoperto la sua assenza la sera stessa e solo perché ho preteso di vedere personalmente lo chef, accorgendomi dalla prima portata che non erano le stesse pietanze che avevamo assaggiato! La disposizione dei tavoli è stata completamente errata! Hanno invertito totalmente la disposizione che noi avevamo dato con largo anticipo, mettendoci in difficoltà con le persone più anziane che avevamo appositamente messo lontane dalla musica! Infine avevamo concordato la presenza di personale che avrebbe dovuto sanificare i servizi igienici frequentemente, ma naturalmente neanche l’ombra! E a fine serata la situazione era a dir poco imbarazzante. Per concludere, non ci è stato fatto neanche uno sconto per la gravità delle mancanze e dei disagi che ci hanno causato. Beautifully situated restaurant at a high point so you have far and wife views of the coast/sea. The staff were very friendly and kind and spoke English. The atmosphere was fantastic, with nice slow background music on a sunny evening. We sat outside in the terrace with amazing views.

The food was amazing!!! I recommend the lobster linguine which was cooked to perfection. They use fresh ingredients. When I mean fresh, I mean freshly picked. There is a corner outside with fresh thyme, oregano, basil etc. that they grow and the chef literally comes out, picks off the ingredients he needs and heads back to the kitchen to cook with it. Wow!
